I meant to add this earlier.  This is just a preview of futher discussion in Part 2 of this subject.  I don't want this to be a distraction.  I'm looking forward to what y'all have to say in the blog above.  Let the fellership begin!

I don’t believe God ever wanted anyone to stop short by just outwardly complying with the law.  In fact, I’d dare say God intentionally gave man a law that he could never keep.  Can you accept that?

Great thoughts.  Jesus said, "I didn't come to abolish the law but to fulfill it."  It sounds like you are filling in a lot of what Jesus meant there.

Well Shane, I was gonna post this later, but I think you brought up a good point: Jesus came to fulfill the law.  Now what does that mean? 

Does anyone think we can fulfill the law?  Are we supposed to?  I'd like to hear from others about this.  What say ye saints?
