| 2007: Year of the Church Communities! |
|
| |
2006 was definitely a year of preparing all of you awesome early adopters of MyChurch, cool and useful ways to do what you do best for 2007. Be the Church (with a capital "C")! Share what you've been learning. Stay connected with your church family. Help each other grow in the full potential of where God has placed you.
Some of the things we've been working on these past few weeks (amidst all the nog and candy-canes), include the following:
Blogs Facelifts: Not much functionally different.. just a clean-up and a little more blog-friendly placement of links. Don't forget to nominate blogs you love!
New Group Settings: These were added late last week. Set the privacy level, membership mode, and bulletin approval settings for all your groups. Did we miss a setting? Let us know what is useful for you.. our ears are open.
New Moderator Approval Controls: Here by popular demand. For more moderator controls, set ways to approve members and any and all content for your church pages. Note though that the more approval requirements you set, the more work it'll be for you (the moderators). Be on the ball, people :).
Lot's more to come.. development is far from done. We humbly thank you for joining us on this journey. Sometimes people email or call and ask this basic question. What is MyChurch? Our answer: MyChurch is you and your church and our church and your neighbor's church and your aunt Sandy's church in the Netherlands and your coworkers house church in the city, all looking to stay connected. It's a community with a purpose. Plain and simple.
What are we are looking forward to in 2007?
Getting the discussion going! Comments for your pastors and your small groups leaders. Connecting people through blogs, and pictures. Videos, more groups features, cool API's, and of course connecting churches within and to each other. Also, Apprentice in LA, the hills turning green, and some better sleeping habits. Happy New Year everyone! |
