| Praying Scripture - Positive Prayer |

I have learned - particularly over the last 3-4 years that we should not pray with the attitude of begging or pleading for something, but rather with the attitude of "calling on things that are not, as though they are". When I was praying for the salvation of a loved one, An Evangelist/Prophetess told me not to beg - but to Thank God for making him the man of God that HE wanted him to be. I also determined that within that - I was too bitter at others that might have been involved with that loved one that may have been impeding the progress. So, with that, I not only changed the way I was praying for the Loved one, but also included those others in my prayers, praising the Lord for either saving them or removing them from the path of my loved one. It wasn't immediate, but it certainly wasn't long before I began to see a difference and that loved one accepted the Lord and began to serve the Lord.
Psalm 121 tells us that that the LORD is our keeper and the LORD is our shade and that the LORD will preserve us from all evil. Why then, are we so encumbered with the prayer of the destitution and pleading? Why don't we pray with the attitude of thankfulness - Thanking the Lord for the mighty works that HE has and will perform!
I thank you Lord for sending your guardian angels to encamp around my family during the day and on the road. I thank you and praise you Lord for giving us safe returns from our daily commutes! I thank you Lord for providing for my family in our finances and with our health! I Thank you Lord for giving us wisdom in our daily decisions! I thank you Lord for providing for your church in the new building program! I thank you for your direction to those in the positions of making decisions for the Church and for granting wisdom to them. I thank you Lord for blessing my Pastor(s) and their families and for providing for their every need, as they serve you! AMEN |
