| Let me start off by saying that this message isn't for the faithless. This word I am about to deliver is going to cut you. I just pray that it cuts the bad and improves the Godly. So let's jump right in. I am sick and tired of this "powerless" optional gospel that is being preached. In II Timothy 3 it speaks of men being lovers of themselves, boasters, proud and having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof. We have always preached that this was talking about the sinner but I beg to differ. I believe that God was describing the state that He knew His church would be in, preaching a "powerless" gospel. We read in Mark 16:15-18 that Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues, they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover." In these verses Jesus did not give us a choice of whether or not we would walk with these signs following. The Bible plainly says "and these signs SHALL follow them that believe. Therefore if you believe these signs should be following you. Let me stop for a minute before any religious devils raise up their head, let me first affirm that I am not attacking any denomination. I am merely speaking the word because in the early forms of every denomination they walked with these signs following. First off, if we would forget about our denomination and worry more about souls we would see the revival we're praying for. Jesus does not care, nor does the world, whether you are a baptist, methodist, calvinist, lutheran, or pentecostal. All He cares about is are you doing the work He told us to do, and that is simply.....preach the gospel. So what, you may ask, is the reason for this blog. The answer is simple, it is time that we stop preaching and presenting a "powerless" gospel. Every time that there was a revival throughout the apostles time it came with a miracle. The first of which, when they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. You may enjoy sitting in a church listening to a popcycle, punch out 3 points and a poem, leaving still being the same broke, busted, disgusted, bound up individual. But I refuse to do it anymore. I am not preaching His word so that people will tell me, "You did a good job". I'm hungry for revival but the only way we're going to see it is put the POWER back. So when the church as a whole wakes up and decides they're tired of letting the devil steal their kids, take their things, and run roughshod over them maybe....just maybe...we'll get the power back. What is it going to take people? How many more kids do we have to lose to drugs, alcoholism, false religions, suicide, gangs, and sexual perversion before we finally say enough is enough? I for one am ready to say it NOW! Because the world need something REAL. But you see I'm not going to say all of this and not talk about....how. You may be asking, "How preacher? How do we get the power back?" My answer is simply this, get the focus off of you. Stop thinking about yourself. Start thinking about those your love. Those that you know that are unsaved. And start saying, "Here am I Lord, send me!" Stop relying on the preachers. Stop relying on the televangelists and pastors because the Bible says the five-fold ministry is for the EQUIPPING of the saints, for the WORKS, of the MINISTRY. So basically, you want to see the power back, PREACH THE GOSPEL. You may be reading this saying, "Well I don't believe in all that stuff. The gifts of the spirit and the five-fold ministry." All I can say to you is, "Talk to God. It's His word. I'm just the messenger." If this message has cut you, and I pray it has, please join me in praying, "God, give us the power back. And send revival. In Jesus name, A'men" May God richly bless you in all you say and do. In Christ's Humble Service, Evangelist Jeff Klepper "Give us souls, Lest we die" |
