| My Most Beautiful Hat |
|
| |
We have been remodeling my office and it is so pretty. I was putting stuff away in all my new cabinets etc and enjoying the beauty of my hats. I collect vintage and antique hats. Many of them are so artistic and say so much about the people who wore them. I rearranged them so many times - finding just the right place for each hat/hat stand. Then I came to a box and took out another hat. This hat was different than all the rest - it looked so plain, no embellishments on it - the person who wore it obviously was uncomplicated. When I looked for a place to put it - I had to move it - a couple time until I found the right place --- and when I turned around to look at what I had a accomplished, That familiar Voice said to me, "I know you collect hats and enjoy their beauty, this Crown of Thorns, was My hat, enjoy it -let it speak to you about what kind of person I was when I wore it and who I am!" That hat I took out of the box was life-size Crown of Thorns - that was Jesus' hat. It says so much about Him, how uncomplicated it all was - a deep desire, an assignment and victory in completing that assignment. It is only right that in my hat collection, I should have the Greatest Hat that ever was. What a beautiful hat it is to me and all of us who have met Him. It is the most beautiful hat I have - I had a younger girl in my office and she puzzled why I would have such a ugly thing in such a pretty office. She asked me, "Do they hurt?" I invited her to feel the pin like ends of the thorns, she looked at me and I said, "He did this for you and me, He had this hat jammed on His head so we could wear a crown of Life and be saved. He is real, honey, it really happened. He wore it so we wouldn't have to have it on our head." She smiled gratefully.
Thank You Messiah Jesus --- I am smiling gratefully.
John 19:5 -- Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!
Behold Him !

| Wow, whenever I am borught back to rememberance it makes me cry. The first thing is the assignment and how I fall short so many times. He was so passionate about His assignment. He didn't wear it to look good. He wore it to make a difference. He wore it willingly and knew his destiny. Yet he did not fall short. When He said, it is finished, the doors of entrance to God were made available. When He finished His assignment, the devil the great enemy of our faith was put in his place. THANK YOU LORD JESUS for wearing this crown of suffering, shame, pain and agony. You are my Hero forever and ever. It reminds me again of my saying as I keep growing. "When I grow up, I want to be like Jesus." Help me Lord to finish the course in an honorable way. |

Oh Jesus. The willingness to wear it, the obedience to the Father. The pathway of our salvation was not an easy one, how hard it truly was I may never understand. He is my forever Hero. |

Jesus was passionate about His assignment........how undeserving I am, but He still loves me. I do want to be like Him. Jesus, give me your passion! Thank you, Mrs W, for writing this. I could hardly see through my tears. It is so good to be reminded. |
