I know how you feel.
1:2 Let it be all joy to you, my brothers, when you undergo tests of every sort; 1:3 Because you have the knowledge that the testing of your faith gives you the power of going on in hope; 1:4 But let this power have its full effect, so that you may be made complete, needing nothing.

I don't always like developing strength. But I like joy, I like fruit of the spirit, and I like gifts of the spirit.  When I was a kid I was always getting my folks up on Christmas morning to unwrap those things.  But when it comes down to it I find myself letting go of a deep sigh before praying for strength, or patience.  Thanks for the comments Mike, and my neighbors Shannon, and Dennis.

I usually catch myself kind of wincing after I've asked God, "What thing do I need to let go of/need to change/etc."  I want to hear the answer, but then again, I don't...

Okay, I really don't want to hear the answer and I probably don't want to change but I do want to be changed.  But I still wince...

ca it seems with me that sometimes it's the pressing forward that helps me let go.  Thanks ca, jen, mike, & dennis.
