| Bless the Lord, oh my soul and all that is within me bless his holy name. Psalm 34:1 Whenever I stop and think about all that I have been through and all that God has done for me, through me and in me I am totally amazed. If you knew me when I was little you would remember what a good liar I was. I could lie and keep a straight face the whole time. As I grew I learned that the truth helped people like me better than the lies had so I gave up intentionally lying for no reason. Then I gave my life to Christ and started walking with him. The journey has been interesting to say the least but I have no regrets. The three most important people groups in my life right now are my princes, my children in Sunday school and Lighthouse's Children's ministry. I am watching God do amazing things through those young people and my mind is just blown away. The children know things that many adults don't know (how many books are law books?, what is the Lord's Prayer? What are the 10 commandments?). There are other things that they know but you readers get the idea. The children I work with range in age from 3 to 11 or 12 so I am reallly impressed wiith them. God has blessed our ministry tremendously and I have to just give him a little praise for that. My princess is really growing spirituallly too. Recently she told me of an incident that would have caused her to flare up and say something she might regret later. But instead of saying anything, she simply found a quiet place to go to, opened her bible and began to read. She told me later, 'I read for a whole hour and I felt so much better after that. It's amazing what one little book can do.' One song writer asked this question: Have you any rivers that you can't cross? Have you any mountains that you can't tunnel through? Then came the answer: God specializes in things that seem impossible and he can do what no other power (Holy Ghost power) can do. I have to bless the Lord for all that God has done in my life. I have to bless the Lord for what I am seeing him do not just for me but for those I interact with too. I have to bless the Lord because he does specialize in doing the impossible things in my life. Hallelujah!! Thank you Jesus for your mercy, your grace and your favor. I'm so glad I have learned to put my trust in Jesus. I'd like to encourage you to do the same. Now Faith Is Virginia |
