On June 23 my grandmother died. It was terrible, there was this fire, and she was alone in the house and couldn't get out. What was really heartbreaking for me was to see my dad desperately trying to put out the fire and calling "Mommy? mommy?". It was the saddest moment in my life. And I was sad, and questioning God. But at the funeral service, after a prayer and a short meditation on 1 Thessalonians 4, there were 4 of the relatives who came to Jesus, asked Him to be their Lord and Savior. And then that very verse came to my mind,

8:28 And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, `even' to them that are called according to `his' purpose.

This reminded me to call Jeff about having Pooky stuffed and mounted... He said he'd do it and would take about 2 weeks. Don't worry about the cost cause I'm gonna take care of it (late birthday present.) Man, he's gonna look good in yer living room!

One question, how do you want him positioned? Laying down, standing, pointing, etc...? Jeff said he could even put a tv remote in his hand or a cigarette in his mouth or do some fun stuff like that... kind of a "Party Pooky" if ya want.

Let me know.

Tina - I don't know what you are going through, but I know that God loves you and i don't believe in coincidences. God wanted to get a word to you today and that is why you just "happened" to drop by when you did. We don't always get the privilege of understanding God like I did in my blog. But God always uses the events that happen here on earth to mold and shape us into what God wants. I will be praying for you.

Elmer - That is just an awful tradgedy. It shows allot of maturity on your part to turn to God's word like that. I hope I get to the place one day where that will be my first action when tribulation comes. I'll be prayin for you and your family.

shannon - It's ok to laugh as long as you understand to moral of the story. Pooky is in a better place now.

Rich - Man I appreciate the birthday present. I think if you could get him curled up, kinda like if he was laying in his bed it would be good.

I have couch cheetos! Belated gifts from my grandkids--you don't want to know what else they stuffed in there!

My sympathies to Kathy--for poor Pooky's passing. I'm trying to think of something sensitive to say here--but the bottom of the page has a very annoying banner blinking a bald headed Brittany--I think I better go now, before I have nightmares of Bald Brittany cuddling with Stuffed Pooky while choking down cheesy goodness. Does Brittany look better bald? What kind of question is that?

Aww sorry to know pooky died.  Your thoughts are so true, when something like that happens we get upset, even mad at God.  He does know what's best.  And he works all things out for good to those who love him.  I have a pet ferret too, named Trixie.  She's almost 3 years old now.  Have a great day!   Lisa
