I am really impressed with what you are doing! A lot of televangelists preach just plain empty-headed fluff and a lot of it is even money-grabbing heresy disguised as Christianity. This is nothing new and is much the same with products in the commercial world. Microsoft vs. Apple, VHS vs. Betamax, etc. are examples of the inferior product being more popular because of marketing alone.

I have often dreamed of a way that quality preachers could be featured on a television program. There are thousands of them out there, preaching in little country churches and back alley city churches. They are faithful to the Word of God, but don't have the talent for marketing or the ability to be popular with the masses that only want thrills and a big show.

You are doing just that! Fantastic! I applaud you and thank God for you!

Blessings, Grant.

Grant,

You are so on target.  There are thousands of quality preachers out there, and I pray the Lord will lead me to them.  We are leaning and depending on Jesus every step of the way.  Because of this technology, we (that means you too Grant) now can do (reach the masses) what big money can do, and do it as God has given to each of us.

Grant maybe you're not meant to be like everybody else, maybe you're one of  God's peculiar people. I know that I am.  Maybe you're suppose to do the peculiar things for the Lord. Now that requires you to be a bold soldier.   Don't worry God's got your back.

Oh, you are more than welcom to become the 1st cyber member of Kenami Ministries if you wish.  We loved to have you aboard.  Now have you considered doing video or audio in your ministry?

Good word, Pastor Aminata!  Reminded me of a conversation I had with a little bare-foot kid in Mexico, who was admiring my shoes but questioned that they were not Nikes, which he thought all Americans wore.  Without thinking, I told him I had some Nikes at home.  Immediately I fell under conviction as I saw his eyes widen in amazement, and he said "You have 2 pairs of shoes?!"  (And I probably had 25 . . .)  God bless your ministry!

Kathy,
I once was that wide-eyed kid.  I'm the oldest of nine, and a former 28yr welfare recipent, high school drop out, teenage parent.   God has brought me from a mighty long way!   I remember one day when I was in Jr High School, and I went to a friend's house.  She was an only child.  At that time, I hadn't met anyone who was an only child.  She had her own bedroom, a closet FULL of clothes, and shoes.  I thank God, that I was never envious, or jealous, but I do remember saying to myself, one day when I grow up, I'm gonna have it just like that.

At that time, I didn't have my own room, I didn't even have my own bed, I shared it with four of my siblings.   Wow, does this bring back memories.     So here I am 54, a mom, a grandmother, a wife and a Servant of the Lord.    I'm done with all that, nothing to prove to nobody, it is what it is.  I pray each day for the Lord to help me let go of more of the material things.

Thank you for the comment.

Pastor Tim,

God Bless you for this compliment.  After reading your post, I ran upstairs to Ken and asked, "honey are we television evangelists?"   he just laughed.   We don't see ourselves that way, and to think that we could be doing something that is seen as setting an example, is humbling indeed.

We give God all the Glory.

I had my hand up like  you could see but I know God saw it. LORD LORD IT WANT TO SERVE YOU, I want you God to be in control. Pastor Aminata your message remind me of this scripture, when I first got save I use to read it over and over because it was me, to I don't feel that now way but I still read it
. Romans 14 The struggle within
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

I agree Pastor Aminata your so on point about
GOD IS PLEASED WITH A SACRIFICIAL ATTITUDE THAT PUTS EVERYTHING WE HAVE AT HIS DISPOSAL.

Pastor Ken that message was real deep, I know because when I would go out to street evangalize, we would say to people do you know where you are going when you leave this earth most didn't have a answer or the would just say hell, then I told them I knew was heaven bound. Then that's how I got a lot of people to accept Jesus as they Lord and savior and the first things they had to do
is to denouce saton except Jesus and to have a person relationship with him by reading the word and walk and live it. I know there is a hell and I don't want anyone to go so every chance I get I tell people about the kingdom of God the eternal  life with Father and his son. I'm not perfect the only perfect one is Jesus but I'm striving for profection.

HEAVEN IS OPEN TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN CHRIST.
Jesus’ words show that the way to eternal life, though unseen, is secure-as secure as your trust in Jesus. He has already prepared the way to eternal life. The only issue that may still be unsettled is your willingness to believe.

JESUS IS PREPARING PLACES IN HEAVEN FOR HIS FOLLOWERS.
There are few verses in Scripture that describe eternal life, but these few verses are rich with promises. Here Jesus says, “I am going to prepare a place for you,” and “I will come and get you.” We can look forward to eternal life because Jesus has promised it to all who believe in him. Although the details of eternity are unknown, we need not fear, because Jesus is preparing for us and will spend eternity with us.
BIBLE READING: Colossians 3:1-17
KEY BIBLE VERSE: Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth. (Colossians 3:2)

HEAVEN’S PRIORITIES CAN BE PART OF LIFE HERE ON EARTH.
Letting heaven fill our thoughts means striving to put heaven’s priorities into daily practice and concentrating on the eternal rather than the temporal. (See Philippians 4:8-9 and Colossians 3:15 for more on Christ’s rule in our hearts and minds.

Yes MaKelly,
Giving people the real deal about heaven and hell really gives them something to think about.  I know it did for me.  If God is right about it (and He is) and I don't do something I will spend an eternity in Hell.  I for one don't want to take that risk.  I'd rather believe God and live a wonderful life now and forever.  Not one of us is perfect that's why He died for us.  Glory to God!!!

Thanks for your comments and compliments.  I believe if we do our part God will do his part.  I have complete assurance because of the finished work of His son Jesus Christ I am justified through His blood.  Because of this I can KNOW THAT I KNOW I have eternal life.  1John 5:13 says "These thing have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

I love you.

It is so nice to see you, I feel like I now hear your sweet voice in your comments and teaching you are writing to me. You just radiate the love of Jesus, and have the knowledge to teach people by helping them to try and find the answers on their own.

Thank you!

Guilty, I have listened to the bible many times on cd's, but because I am not studying it word by word in the actual book I can not go back recall it when needed. I know the stories, I know some of the meanings but when put to the test I have to ask others to help me with the verse. My husband says to get a concordance to help with memorization when needed. We as a family are so excited about our new church because we study it verse by verse in every meeting, Monday night womens study, Tuesday night men's study, Wed night youth & adult church, Sunday reg church & sunday night married couples study.

You inspire me! Thank you for listening to that small voice.

Pastor Aminata

I love it I love it because I want you to know twice I started to post a blog on the cost of Discipleship, now I know why I did not because God wanted you to do the message and the message is so true and wonderful. this is what he told me to add.

The History

Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1937)

Dietrich Bonhoeffer had smart genes. His father was the foremost neurologist and psychiatrist teaching at the University of Berlin; his mother was the granddaughter of a noted church historian. Dietrich began theological studies as a teenager and qualified to teach at the University of Berlin at age 24.
In his early writings, Bonhoeffer said God was found in the Word and realized in real-life situations. He asserted that Christ lived in the community of believers. These assumptions underlie his later works as well.
While studying at Union Theological Seminary in New York City (1930-1931), Bonhoeffer team-taught a Sunday school class at a church in Harlem. He learned as much as he taught. This experience proved to be a powerful lesson on how people could endure dehumanizing oppression by exercising simple, biblical faith, particularly in praise and worship. Bonhoeffer later returned to Germany, where Adolf Hitler was gathering power.
While many pastors yielded to Hitler’s interference in church affairs, Bonhoeffer resisted and helped create the Confessing Church in Germany. In 1935 he began and led an illegal seminary in Finkenwalde. He also identified himself with the resistance movement against Hitler.
Published in 1937, The Cost of Discipleship established Dietrich Bonhoeffer as a theologian of high distinction. With this work, Bonhoeffer reaffirms the concept of faith in the Christian life, emphasizing the Word (the Scriptures); the sacraments (baptism and the Lord’s Supper); and the earthly community of faith (the church). The book’s title in German is simply Discipleship, since Bonhoeffer takes faith, justification, and sanctification (the pillars of reformed theology) and unites them into the single concept of following Christ.
The key formula of his work is “only he who believes is obedient, and only he who is obedient believes.” Bonhoeffer claims that this theorem revalidates the complete premise of justification and restores its true value. But Bonhoeffer was always inclined to emphasize the community of faith as well. In The Cost of Discipleship Bonhoeffer insists that “it is impossible to become a new man as a solitary individual. . . . It means the church, the body of Christ, in fact it means Christ himself.” This does not mean, however, that discipleship should become a world movement or creed; nor is discipleship an ideology or technique, since these require measurable results. To Bonhoeffer, right Christology requires a person to be called and to follow. Those who do this “are ready to suffer with the Word.”
The book is divided into four chapters. The first one challenges the reader with a discourse on grace and discipleship. Bonhoeffer attacks the “cheap grace” that was being preached in the churches of his time; he counters this easy-believism by asserting, “When Christ calls a man, he bids him come and die.” Chapter 2 further develops Bonhoeffer’s discussion of discipleship as it examines Jesus Christ’s demands on the believer in the Sermon on the Mount. Chapter 3 discusses spreading this message of Jesus Christ, and chapter 4 addresses the believer’s relationship to the church, the body of Christ on earth.
In this classic work, Bonhoeffer describes a disciple’s life as simple and carefree. This simplicity is rooted in the disciple’s obedience to one master, which sets the disciple free from other concerns. The truth of this work is reinforced by the real-life example of Bonhoeffer himself.
Watching the Nazis’ growing violence against Jews and others, Bonhoeffer plotted with others to kill Hitler. An attempt failed, and Bonhoeffer was arrested. He was hanged in 1944.
Few authors have lived out their writings to such an extent. Bonhoeffer expressed what he believed in print, and then he acted on those beliefs.

MaKelly,

Girl, you have truly blessed my soul.  Just reading this flung me back to my NYTS (New York Theological Seminary) days, where we studied Bonhoeffer and others.   I had one of the best professors in the whole world (yes I'm bias) who is now the President of NYTS.   He was the one who taught me how to study and understand the simplicity, which is the profundity of Christ.

“only he who believes is obedient, and only he who is obedient believes.”  Here we see obedience is transformed in the heart and concretized by our actions.   The Cost of Discipleship Bonhoeffer insists that “it is impossible to become a new man as a solitary individual. . . . It means the church, the body of Christ, in fact it means Christ himself.”

Here again is profound simplicity; for if I allow myself to convince myself that I need no one other than myself than I disavow all that I claim that I respresent in Christ, for it was Christ who died for all, and I, "ought" to live to die if nothing more than to myself,  to be a true disciple of Christ.

Girl you done gone and got me all worked up, and you know I hate to write.  lol   But I love it.

Thanks for sharing.

I was there, and I had to learn through much prayer to let go and let God he is in control.
Concerning my Grand children, nobody wants to stand by and see trouble coming and do nothing, to help but after you done  it more then twice it really is time to let go and let God,
Really there was nothing I could do but pray.

I give God much praise because Two are in the Navy now GLOORY BE TO GOD. The oher one I'm still on the battle field on his behalf, I know pray works because the battle is not mine it's God plus a lot of people prayed for me so I know prayer has a lot of power.

WOW WOW I'm so excite about this telecast on worship, I love it don't waite until I go to church I get up worshing my God everything I do is to give him praise. I was a Bible study teacher and I love it and I miss it, I had it in my home I had from 10 to fifthteen saints in my home every wednsday nigh for over five years until I move to Tampa. Pastor Ken Worship was a holy Ghost Party to gloryify God, God provider us with a worship leader that was truly anointed by God.

That why I know God lead me to join mychurch so I can continue to teach his word.

At the time of Jesus, the Jews had become far too dependent on a physical place, the temple, for their worship. When Jesus arrived on the scene, he proclaimed that he himself was the temple of God; in resurrection, he would provide the spiritual dwelling where God the Holy Spirit and people, in spirit, could have spiritual communion (see Matthew 12:6; John 2:19-22). In other words, worship would no longer be in a place but in a person-through Jesus Christ and his Spirit the worshipers could come directly to God (see John 14:6; Hebrews 10:19-20).
This shift in worship-from physical to spiritual-is the theme of John 4, a chapter that recounts Jesus’ visit to the Samaritans. After Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman, she acknowledged that he must be a prophet, and then she launched into a discussion concerning the religious debate between the Jews and the Samaritans over which place of worship was the right one-Jerusalem or Mount Gerizim. The Samaritans had set up a place for worship on Mount Gerizim in accordance with Deuteronomy 11:26-29 and Deuteronomy 27:1-8, while the Jews had followed David and Solomon in making Jerusalem the center of Jewish worship. The Scriptures affirmed Jerusalem as the true center for worship (Deuteronomy 12:5; 2 Chronicles 6:6; 2 Chronicles 7:12; Psalms 78:67-68). But Jesus told her that a new age had come in which the issue no longer concerned a physical site. God the Father would no longer be worshiped in either place. A new age had come in which the true worshipers (Jew, Samaritan, or Gentile) must worship the Father in spirit and in truth.
“In spirit” corresponds to Jerusalem, and “in truth” corresponds to the Samaritans’ unknowledgeable ideas of worship, God, and so forth. Formerly, God was worshiped in Jerusalem, but now the true Jerusalem would be in a person’s spirit. Indeed, the church is called “the habitation of God in spirit” (Ephesians 2:22). True worship required a people to contact God, the Spirit, in their spirit, as well as a people who knew the truth. New Testament worship must be in spirit and in truth. Since “God is Spirit,” he must be worshiped in spirit. Human beings possess a human spirit, the nature of which corresponds to God’s nature, which is spirit. Therefore, people can have fellowship with God and worship God in the same sphere that God exists in.
In a sense, John 4 anticipates Revelation 21 and Revelation 22, where God provides the rivers of the water of life to all the believers and where the Lamb and God are the temple in the New Jerusalem. The believers receive life from God, and they worship in God. There is a profound, even mystical connection between drinking of the Spirit and worshiping God in the Spirit (see 1 Corinthians 12:13). This is also described in Ezekiel 47:1, which pictures the river flowing from God’s temple as a symbol of God’s never-ending supply. In John 4, Jesus provides the living waters to all who receive the gift of God, and he directs people to a new temple, a spiritual one, where God is worshiped in spirit.

His joy is my strenght, yes when things happen I was up set & angry, but I did not stay in that place like you said,It's just a test of my faith & the devil will test you and so will God, so I just give all joy becausee it comes back to me that what ever I'm going through it to shall pass because I know God is with me, and joy will come in the morning, and I know the enemy will try to steal but will not successed, I walk with my God Daily, what I do is put on a worshipp & praise song giving God the glory. When i'm persurcuted I know it's not me the world is coming against it's the JESUS in me, and that's more than enough to rejoice about, GLORY TO GOD I also know that when I being attact something great is getting ready to happen, and the devil is trying to stop it, God wants to see how I will react to it, rejoice in all things God will exsult me in do time, not man He is my Joy and Strenght

Jack2U,

You know I still amazed though how so many people are so timid when  it comes to giving God Praise.  They're  afraid to open up their mouths, afraid to even clap, afraid to glorify Him, maybe even afraid to enter into His Presence.  The Holy Spirit will teach us how to, if we would surrender ourselves.    Praise God.   May you dance ever more before God and all of His Majesty!

I SURRENDER ALL
Judson W. Van De Venter (1855–1939)

MANY CHRISTIANS have sung this song with their fingers crossed. Or perhaps in the emotion of the church service they meant it, but did not realize the corners they would turn or the new opportunities they would face in the coming days. But J. W. Van De Venter meant it. He was a schoolteacher by profession but an artist at heart. Teaching school allowed him to make a living while he continued his study of drawing and painting. After evangelistic meetings in his church, friends saw his gifts in counseling and working with people and urged him to become an evangelist. For five years he wavered between his love of art and what seemed to be God’s calling to evangelistic ministry.
He later recalled, “At last the pivotal hour of my life came and I surrendered all. A new day was ushered into my life. I became an evangelist and discovered down deep in my soul a talent hitherto unknown to me.” A few years later, Van De Venter, remembering that decisive moment, wrote this hymn.

I SURRENDER ALL
All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

I surrender all,
I surrender all.
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
May Thy Holy Spirit fill me,
May I know Thy pow’r divine.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

Matthew 13
3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 4 and when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 5 some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 6 and when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: 8 but other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. 9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

MaKelly,

This is it in a nutshell.  I surrender all.   If only God's children would listen, learn and obey.
Thank you for sharing.

Brother and Sister,

You are, without question, doing GOD's work!  When I first saw people posting GodTube videos on their sites, He shared a flash with me.  In it i wondered if anyone could use a running video blog to teach the word.  And it was just as you are.  Confirmation makes my spine tingle.

Today's word blessed my soul.  True revelation is hidden in understanding the trifold nature of GOD.  The Holy Spirit spoke through you today and said "admit your limitations so that you can understand who I'm is!!!!"  Glory to GOD!!!!!!!  When scripture repeats itself we all better be listening.  Thank you for putting a spotlight on the repetition.  Keep taking a sledge hammer to that box folks try to put him in.

I will be back for every entry.  I love getting fed "on demand"  :-)

Peace,
Bhek

Brother Bhek,

Thank you for your kind words.  Yes, it is no doubt God's Work indeed of which the telecast is now a year old.   I really had no idea what we were getting into when we started, however, we are led by the Holy Spirit.   God's Word "on demand"  how about that.... !  Sho nuf, God is up to something.

Dear sister,

I have to admit that I have hard to listen for a long time. I like your Telecast but I have been hurt of Churches so much so it make me get bad memories back when I was walking as the most poor person in USA.

I met many wealthy Pastors that couldn't help me at all, not only with money but I was by myself out on the street abroad and needed someone that said they care for the situation I was in.

I was walking in 3 and half year asking for help in the Churches and not got any help at all. When I come back to Sweden was I almost dead of not have been eating healthy food and been in much stressful situations been on the lowest level in USA.

God changed me very much when I was down and out, not to bragging but there is not much to change on anymore for God when it's comes to me.

I am in the circle of the heavenly court but few know it.

I am so  very thankful to have seen and been in such bad situations as I was in USA because it made me so quick be more Christ-like.

It's true what you say here that there is bad inside the Church too and not only outside it.

Believe me, I have seen lots of wiered Pastors in USA for example did I helped a Pastor built a altar in the Church and finish he wanted to make love with me on the altar where he next day should preach.

I have seen it all......God have let me see everything for to could sit in the court.

Woman Of God

I hope you have read my blogs I am a woman of God of Heaven. I know that you  know that we are living in judgement and God is here for judgement. He is judgeing us now, He wants us to turn back to Him and to do His commandment and to live by His Statues. He want us to follow Him and repent for our sins in His Son's Name, Jesus Christ. God of heaven and Earth does not want any of us to burn for eternity but He is calling us  to repentance. Acts2:38 says in order to go to Heaven we must be born again that means we must be spiritually born and we must have a  Comforter, the Comforter of truth shall remain with us until redemption. In order to obtain it  we must  acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God of Heaven and Earth and that He sent His Son so that we may be reconciled to Him, God of Heaven and Earth, repent (in repentance we must name our sins), be baptisted in the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost, and follow God's Commandments and live by His Statues. In order to receive the Gift it must be done in this order, test and approve for yourself.

Thank You so much for Sharing His love with me and others. I am very blessed from listening to Your telecast. The safest place and the sweetest place is to be in His Will and at His Service. "Holding forth the Word of life; that I (We) may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I (We) have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain." {Philippians 2:16} I love Your teaching on the "Fruit of the Spirit", Thank You For Blessings me. The Christian life is full of Believing, Telling and Sharing. Thank You for Believing, for telling and Sharing with whoever will take the time to listen. May God Richly Bless You and Meet all of Your needs. In Christian Love, God's Peace and Prayers, Patty
