Kathy, I enjoyed your post. Anyone who reads this can indentify. Some days we are on top of the mountain while other days we reside in the valley. However, whether on the mountain top or the valley, God is there.

Kathy, this poem is chock-full of morsels of truth to consider.  I am going to ponder much of this in my quiet time this evening.  Thank you for painting such a descriptive picture of our journey with Him Who Becons our Souls!

Thank you all for the encouragement!  This is so personal I hesitated to share it, but decided if there was a chance it could encourage someone else, it was a good risk!

Voice, I never saw your other comment.  I don't know what happened, but I didn't delete it!

You are all great friends!

Thank you Kathy for sharing something that is so personal. A sojourners walk through this strange land, longing evermore to be home. I read it again just now and it pierces even deeper into my soul.

This is one of those days, exhausted, not feeling so good.  It's days like this one that I find myself second guessing my charge.

To meet a traveler is a gift
For a time we share
We laugh
We encourage each other to keep running
Then we move on
No two journeys are the same

Ultimately I have learned this is my race
My own journey
I am alone with only the Voice that beckons my soul

Bless you Kathy for not being selfish - I so needed to read  this right at this moment -  thank you, each of you here in mychurch for being one of those travelers

Please pray my strength as I continue my own journey.

Thank you, Sue!  I write poetry only when my soul's cries are too deep for prose!  :)

Thank you, Teresa, for your comment, and welcome to MyChurch!

Kathy, great poem from the heart!  That is such a great picture of our life and journey here on earth.  Some day we will be able to sit with our Saviour and look back and see that those times when we felt most alone he was closest to us.

For me lately it is hard to trust God when others around me from the world and the church seem to be against me.  Unfair criticism is the hardest for me to deal with and I need to remember then most of all to trust God for the outcome.  That is my valley or the place I don't see others around me as in your poem.  It is so easy to rely on others rather than a daily walk with Jesus and relying on His Word to guide me.

Thanks for this great reminder!
