I like your "definition" of fear: false evidence appearing real. I believe fear can be more than that, but that's a great starting place! There can be no doubt that fear in the believer stems from wrong thinking. But there's also a physiological aspect of fear too. People really don't like to suffer, and anticipation of things that will make us suffer naturally cause fear. Yes, God wins in the end. But we often go through pain to get there. I wonder what Jesus felt as he approached the cross? I know his full faith and confidence were in the Father, but did he look forward to the pain and humiliation? I don't think so. But maybe his knowledge of what lay after the pain of death was so real that it really did insulate him from the natural fear any of us would have experienced?

No, no I appreciate comments like this for they help me understand more and challenge me to seek more knowledge from God. Thanks for your comment.  I agree with you.  I have read just a few of the blogs that have been posted and it's amazing to find out that there is a lot to learn from them  This is definetely going to help me grow as a minister and give me the courage to never give up.  Thanks once again.
