WE live in this world and we say we need to be rescued. But the truth is it's the world we live in that needs the rescuing... We sit around watching our friends drown in the pouring rain of temptation and fear. In fear that they will loose everything. Everything for one thing... is it Jesus? Is it a girl? Is it a boy? Or a Dream? I don't know... All I know is that I'm sick of sitting around waiting for them to see the light.... and for them to see that there is something more to this life. It's our job, my job. It's our responsibility, it's my responsibility. The responsibility is to reach out to my friends, our friends. My acquaintances, our acquaintances. My generation, OUR GENERATION. It's time I get up and stand for the things I believe in... I won't shove my beliefs down your thought but I will use the voice God gave to me.... I'll do what Jesus did and love everyone the same... even the ones who don't and won't love me in return. I strive and long for the day I see this generation rise up for more.
I came home from Youth Camp this year with this new fire in my heart.... A new vision for the church for OUR generation. I was about to let it die.... Only because I didn't feel like anything was happening.... But the moment I felt that way God pulled me up and spoke once again. "Use your Voice" well I wont let this fire die.... it's only going to get BIGGER... more and more people will see this light and this world will be change one heart at a time one VOICE at a time.... I love this story I heard a while back......
There was this little kid on a beach, and on the beach there were hundreds and hundreds of star fish washed up on shore... they were dying... Well this kid decides he wanted to change that.... So he picked them up one by one putting them back in the ocean... Well this man saw the boy doing this and asked him, "What are you doing?" The boy replied in saying "I'm helping them, saving them" The man was puzzled... and didn't understand.... He said "But there are hundreds of them, you're NEVER going to make a difference." Then the kid stops for a minute looks the man dead in the eyes, then picked up another put it into the ocean and said "I just made a difference in that ones life" and then picked up another "I just made a difference in that ones life too" The man walked away....
Now I'm not quite sure if that is exactly how that story was told to me... But if WE could just have the same attitude as that kid and stop for a second and look at the people who put us down saying things like "YOU WON'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE." or "But there are too many of them to make a DIFFERENCE." and just look them in the eyes and look to another one of our generation and lift them up. We can say to those people "I MADE A DIFFERENCE IN THAT ONES LIFE."
I will make a difference...
MY VOICE WILL BE HEARD.
