P.S. And don't be afraid to post a comment. Make it one of those "Caption This" contests because I could sure use a few laughs right now. I've got an infected bottom for the third time and the surgeon wants to amputate; err operate, I mean. Total bottom replacements are still not vogue so I'll have to go with some sort of a knife job to cut a groove from point A (outside) to point B (inside) via something called a sphincter muscle. For the really inquisitive minds, see:

Like I said, some humor please...  LOL

Losing nothing as he grows older except the braces, Pastor Dave proudly displays his "5th eye".

....that's my weak attempt at a caption. Actually you are one brave (or reckless) man, to be posting such CLOSE-UPS for the world to see. No mole, freckle, or nose hair is hidden. And boy you can really see how far cameras have come in the last ___ years. (did you want to reveal that too?) lol

Why is it when I want be whitty and clever the best I can do is a blank stare which has absolutely no effect on-line.  If you want a laugh look at my pictures on my profile.  I console myself by reminding myself that my face is easier to look out of than at.

Awesome pictures Dave!  I wish I looked that good as a kid.  I had this thing for unruly long hair.  All my school pictures look like a wigs attempt to jump ship.

Here's my captions.  If these are offensive, let me know and I'll delete it.

DopelessDave, that was a GREAT line with just what you said!!!!!!!!!!  LOL

One thing that I learned early on is that a smile travels for miles and those two words compliment each other nicely. I enjoy being silly every now and then; well, OK, most of the time!

I was looking through some old photographs and found that one with me and braces. If you saw the entire picture, you might be able to tell that I was at a Boy Scouts summer camp which means that picture was probably taken by my favorite scoutmaster; Mr. Jud Nixon. We had the best troop and had a blast being real troopers.

Then I remembered the digital photo I sent to my wife a few years back. She laughs at my miner's lamp for camping trips because it reminds her of the geeks in some movie that were locked in a car trunk; Sixteen Candles if I remember correctly. Of course, back in college, I was a spelunker where we used real carbide lanterns mounted on our helmets. That brings back memories from the 70's where I must have gone down in the New River Caves near Blacksburg, Virginia at least 25 or 30 times. Us college students must have had 9 lives because we went through at least 8 death defying rapels inside that cave through water. Well, OK, credit goes to Almighty God. He had other plans for little 'ole me!

JessIAm, trust me, nothing anybody could ever say to me would be offensive. Even if it were, I'd still laugh it off and move on!  :-)  LOL

P.S. Jess, I really find it funny that both you and my wife consider me a geeky lookin chap. Of course, I was / am / always will be a geek. I did have long hair and played bass in a rock band in 1970. I'm trying to find a photo from that period but I think my mom burned them all!   LOL

Dave,

My caption would be a question.....Did you get beat up a lot as a kid?  Actually, I think, that since that was the look at the time, all the girls probably thought you were cute!  I have to say though, that if your picture as a kid were on a board and I had to match it up with the adult, I don't think I would have picked that kid out as you!

MP, actually, that headlamp comes in real handy when I'm out wheeling around in the dark. LOL

I am working on getting some headlights and taillights on my powerchair but it is a 24 VDC system. I'm looking for some military or aircraft lights with the higher voltage.

Just wait until I get my air horns mounted! I'm gonna be a BLAST! Literally... LOL
