| Why Go to Church? |

Why do I set my clock, get my clothes out and ready the night before, preset the coffee maker, get up and get out on a perfectly good day to otherwise lie around, watch TV, or play golf, or go shopping? Why have I spent my Sunday mornings this way for the past 18 years? Why do we assemble together each week to sit, stand, pray, sing, read, listen, talk, give, receive, eat and drink tiny rations of bread and juice? There are deeper reasons for church than meets the eye. I occasionally meet people that leave the local expression of the Church and feel that they really can't see much use for it. But just because a person can't "see" use for the church doesn't mean the deep meaning of the church isn't seeable. Theology and ecclesiology are sometimes difficult to "see." As is much of our faith. I hope you'll join us this Sunday morning at Calvary Community Church, that together we might see. Pastor Mark |
