| Wild Horses - Cash Flow Wrangling... |

Putting week 2 of Financial Peace University into play...
Last night my husband and I sat down together to work out a budget... or as Dave calls it a cash flow plan. He said in lesson 2 that a budget isn't designed to "tie you down" or "restrict you" but it's designed for you to tell your money where to go. What a concept!!! I was thinking about this today and it reminded me of wild horses... well, that's what our spending has been like. Our money has "acted" like wild horses in our life - it ran all over the globe with no clearcut purpose or plan, and completely without control. We spent money we didn't have to spend and didn't have the sense enough to even realize it. UNTIL NOW What an eye opening experience! So I have this image of wild horses in my head, and now I am using Dave's plan to get these horses wrangled and under control... and hopefully one day soon, tame.
I am so thankful that my husband is standing with me in this endeavor! We both want to be free from the stress that money can cause. No more living paycheck to paycheck. No more spending without a plan. No more borrowing from peter to pay paul.
Dave's Baby Steps: 1. $1,000 in an EMERGENCY FUND (done!) 2. Pay off all debt except the house utilizing the DEBT SNOWBALL (working on it...) 3. Three to six months expenses in savings (that's next)
Work each step one at a time... when you complete step one, then go to step two... etc.
Do you know where your money is going?
