| No Cancer |

One week ago today I went to my doctor's office for a biopsies. I had some troubling blood work done and my doctor wanted to make sure. While he was getting ready for the test I asked him what were the chances of cancer based on the blood work? He calmly said 30-50% and I felt my world shake again. In 2000 I had been diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia and I thought, "Here I go again". He told me it would be a week before I knew.
God has wonderful ways to keep our minds off of the danger at hand. During this week I traveled to Lynchburg for the birth of my newest grandchild Luke. Thanks God I needed that. Well I just got off the phone with my doctor's office and the news is good. No cancer! I don't know how I made it through this week, but God gave me grace each hour. His grace really is sufficient. Will this be the last test before I reach home? I don't think so, but I am slowly learning He is able. I wish I could tell you I never doubted but I did. Pray for me that I will grow from this experience and will be able to help others as a result of this time in the valley. 1:3 Blessed `be' the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; 1:4 who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. |
