In about 12 hours time I would be baptised! Baptism is the outward expression of the inner repentance of my heart. This definition is the same in my previous church as much as it is in my current church. It is a universal truth because Christ came so that man can be saved through repentance and confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

 Repentance is to forsake all that is of the old man, of our sinful nature.

Being saved, being baptised is the beginning of a new life in Christ Jesus. I have been crucified in Christ, and it is no longer me who lives, but Christ who lives in me, and the life that i live i live by faith in the Son of God who died and gave Himself for me.

The Lord gave his disciples this command to remember Him: His bread which is His body that was broken and the wine which is His blood that was shed for our forgiveness.
