You want a gold star with that?

I was talking to a friend of mine last night. She asked me if I wanted to do anything else in my current job? I half jokingly said that I wouldn't want that kind of responsibilty. But it got me thinking about what do I want as success? Would I want a lot of money? Would I want fame and glitter? Or that acclaim that comes later in life? Sure it would be nice to have that, who wouldn't? Not me really. Let me explain, I once wrote on a piece of paper that "personal success is more important than what people expect". As I thought about this for awhile, I realize that I would rather be a success with my future kids and wife. More importantly God is the one who's got control of my life. I once heard somebody said "no one has said on their deathbed that they wishes they'd spent more time at work". I see the people who are in higher positions at my work and they look stressed out. Now I know that some people who might read this might say "well, that's the price you pay or that you have enough ambition". A few years a go I was praying along these lines and I heard a voice say "not worry about that", that put confidence in me that God is in fact, in control. I know that God gives all blessings and He won't let me or my future family down.

Boy what a catch you'll be for some young lady!!! 
Now don't do that thing (I did a typo at first and typed think...maybe not a typo?) that we all do where you say to yourself or the accuser of the brethren, or the theif or that rip-off artist does and plants those little bombs that go....yeah right well where is she...and what's taking so long...yada  yada yada....Here I'm gonna go again as your new friend, and as a older and wiser person and offer up this if I may...a couple things to THINK instead...scripture that talks to you about how the Lord has your back...I don't have to quote them here you know Him...so start speaking out into the atmosphere your praise and Thanks to Him about Her and Them your family!!!!  I believe he is preparing her as he has you..
Maybe I'm all wet in offering this advice...but it was what came to mind,
