9:11 But now Christ has come as the high priest of the good things of the future, through this greater and better Tent, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this world,

Hebrews 9:11

Thy Kingdom Come Thy will be done. Somehow the only thought that comes to me this 9/11 is that as long as we don't become like them for the sake of the battle we can't lose. For Christ is faithful and he will see us through.

Hey Dave,
Here are a couple thoughts. Although the US is not a "Christian" nation, there is a far greater potential of the US working cooperatively with the will of God (given the sizeable minority of Christians in this country) than al Qaeda, or Iran, etc. So I would tend to think that in the grand scope of things, "we" are the good guys in this case. But I wouldn't expect God to bless our every step, as if we are advancing the kingdom of God or anything. The fact is we are a secular nation with a secular government.

Nevertheless, there are some godly values that we as a nation collectively esteem and seek to promote, such as freedom and equality. So may God bless America in this current struggle.

I agree. somehow I suspect that today there are far more Bibles in Iraq than there were about 20 years ago.
