| His Will His Way My Desire! |

“where there is a will there is a way” where there is his will there is the way Amen!
John 14:6 JESUS saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.Proverbs 14:12 ¶There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.Introduction: Today I would like to speak if I may for a brief moment on the will that leads to the way, and the way that leads to the truth and the truth that leads to the Life! Amen!
I. The Will!
A. Now we must first determine what the will is Amen! And the dictionary defines the will as being a wish or desire, used as an auxiliary verb (meaning an auxiliary action) to express a desire or willingness Amen!
And we all know or should know that the very essence of life begins with and is driven by a will Amen! The will to be, the will to exist, and the will to survive Amen!
B.In Fact the type of life that is lived is determined by the type of will in which it is driven by amen! You see because the definition said that the will is used as an auxiliary verb to express a desire or willingness Amen! And that word auxiliary means to provide help amen!
So the will provides help to get to or to connect to a way or the way! Traveled Amen! Man was created with only one will and that was the will of the father Amen! But when man introduced his disobedience there than became two will’s Amen! The will of God which is one of love and provision, self-sacrifice, and salvation Amen!
Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
And then there is mans which is hate, temporal self-seeking, and condemnation! Amen!
Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
C. now just by looking at this we can see that there are two will’s that are at work amen! And if there are two will’s at work than there must also be two ways at work Amen!
II. the Way!: the definition of this word way is a passage, road, path, or street, a route or a curse of action also opportunity capability or fact of doing as one pleases Amen!A.
and upon looking at this definition one can be led to believe that in the word way that there are many ways Amen! Not so!
There are only two ways Amen! The way of God which is the way to the life and a way of man which is a way to a life Amen! I know that one flew over ya’ll head but follow me! Amen!
If I say a pastor than I am in fact speaking of a pastor out of many pastors Amen! But if I say the pastor than I am speaking of only one pastor Amen!
And like wise today we see that Jesus is not simply speaking of a way but that he is speaking of the way Amen! He said “I AM THE WAY” amen!
The way of God which is the way? Simply means that there are no other ways to The Father! Amen! And then there is a way! Of man which is a way! And it is just one out of many ways Amen!
You see the one thing in which you must know is this! Every passage, road, street, and route is only capable of providing one way to its traveler at the time of travel amen! And that way is either to or from Amen! You see on every road one can only travel in one direction Amen!
B. When you leave your house and get into your car and pull out on to the road or street Amen! It is not the road or street that determines the way but the destination determines the way Amen!
Lets Say I’m Hungry, I want some chicken, now my wish is to satisfy my hunger, and my desire is to have some chicken, so now I have a will to get some chicken Amen!
Ok what are my choices, there’s KFC, Popeye’s, and churches chicken ok I chose Popeye’s! So now I have a destination and with my destination comes a way Carpenter rd west to Clio rd turn left and head north until I arrive at my destination amen!
Or I am a sinner, I hunger for salvation, now my whish is for salvation but my desire is to be saved Ok what are my choices?
Mohammed is a way, Buda is a way! Church is a way, acting holy is a way! But Jesus Is The Way! Meaning the Only way! He’s not just a way Out Of Many but the One and Only Way! Ok Me I Chose Jesus So Now I have a destination and with my destination I have a way Amen!
I take Romans 10:9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Amen!
The Church is just a road Amen! The church doesn’t determine the destination Amen! Because I can come to the church every Sunday and sit in the front row!
I can come to church every Sunday and sit in the pulpit!
I can come in the church every Sunday and sing in the choir! With sally on my mind and sin in my heart every Sunday amen!
My wish or desire isn’t for God Amen! It’s for Flesh Amen! I got sally on my mind and sin in my heart!
Ok so now I’m wishing to satisfy my flesh and not my spirit therefore I desire to have sally and so I will to have sally! Ok! What are my choices!
1. Trick her In!
2. Move her in!
3. A 5th of Gin!
4. Girlfriend!
5. Just Friends! But either way its still sin! So now my destination then becomes death! Amen! Because the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is what?
You see before you are even led to move you must first be driven by a will or desire to move, and that will and desire then determines the destination, and the destination then determines the way Amen!
Now in other words it is the will which is the desire that determines the destination, and the destination then determines the way! To fulfill the desire and we all know that when man was created he was created to live forever in the presence and service of God Amen!
C. You see when man was created he was created in the image and likeness of God to spend an eternity with and For God Amen!
Upon the fall of man we were separated from the presence of God and then cursed to die Amen! And upon being both separated from God and being cursed to die this then left a void which in turn created a desire within us Amen! A longing within each an every one of us that only can be truly restored or replaced by God! Amen!
That’s why the alcohol ain’t enough! That’s why the blunt ain’t enough! That why sally ain’t enough! Because when you got sally you still wanted Jackie! And Shirley and pearly! And Bob and Joe blow And Sport coat! And everything else! Amen!
You see the void that God left when man fell is way too big of shoes for anyone or anything to fill! Amen!
Well what Are you saying preacher! What I am saying is this Our One and only desire is to be eternally in the presence of God! Our only desire is to live forever again in the presence Of God Amen!
And if your desires don’t line up with this than you need to go back to the begging and check your will Amen! Because it might not be the will! But simply a will! Amen!
III. Now we see that it is the will that creates the desire and the desire then creates the destination and the destination then determines the way! Amen! And here we have Jesus Saying that I am the way! The truth And the Life! Amen! Now we can also see that by the way he said THE TRUTH! We can see that there is only one truth! Amen!
A. And what is the truth? Amen! The dictionary defined truth as being Truthfulness, Honesty, The real state of things: Fact, The body of real events or facts actuality, a true or accepted statement or a proposition, correctness!
Now upon looking at this definition the one I would like to use is “The real state of things” Amen! And that is the bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God Amen! And with that true statement we can see that we are in need of a truth that will make us free from the wages of this sin which is death am I right about it Amen!
Jesus Said in Mark 2:10 but that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
B. So it is the truth that will make us free so that we may have life and it more abundantly Amen! It is the truth that will lead us into everlasting life Amen! And again we see that Jesus is the truth! Amen!
C. now we have the will the way the truth and now let’s put them together and see the life that will unite us with the Father! Amen!
IV. The Life!
A. Again there is a life and there is the Life Amen! And today we will learn the difference so that we may have the life Amen!
Now Life is the quality that distinguishes a vital and functional being from a dead body Amen! A state of an organism characterized especially by capacity for metabolism, growth, reaction to stimuli and reproduction However this life that Jesus Is speaking about is spiritual Amen! And we all know that the spirit life is an eternal life amen! This life that we know now is only temporal! Amen!
An unsaved life isn’t life at all Amen! But because of its physical animation and senses of the flesh! It can be mistaken to the naked eye as being life! Amen!
B. The life of a born again believer will eternally be distinguished from that of the spiritually dead Amen!
In other words if you are born again your spiritual life should never be mistaken by one who is spiritually dead Amen! By one who has life but doesn’t believe in the life which is Jesus Christ Amen! You see Jesus is the Life that makes or distinguishes the believer from the unbeliever Amen!
We see that the born again believer has and is made up of the way the truth and the life Amen!
And the unbeliever is made up of his own way, his own truth and his animated temporal physical life Amen! There is no spiritual life in him amen!
That is why he can lay, cheat, Steal, kill and raise all kind of hell and never once because of his own truth have or feel any remorse about it amen! But the believer when and if ever he should take part in any of these things Amen!
The truth that is a part of his very being will rise up and begin to metabolize: which is the process by which a substance is handled in the living body and in the believers case that substance that is being handled is the truth Amen!
And when the truth is metabolized in and within the born Again believer it then processes and brings forth a hurt or sorrow within that will lead to repentance thus separating the born again from the unbeliever Amen! You see the problem with many of us Christians who can lay down and live in sin is because there is no truth in us to process Amen!
And if we go back to the begging we will find that this way in which we have traveled is simply a way but not the way Amen! And without the way there can be no truth and without any truth there can be no life Amen!
John 17:17 ¶Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Many of us don’t have any word in us amen! It is what the born again believer is made of or should be made of Amen!
Jesus said that “I am The Way the Truth and the Life” Amen!
So many sinners are walking around like zombies in suspended animation being led and driven by the senses of the flesh!
Everyday we walk amongst the living dead! And day in and day out we witness the dead amongst us so call living it up! Amen!
But you see this life if but a vapor Amen! For it is appointed to man once to die and then after that the judgment! And this death to the sinner is one that will prove fatal amen!
It will prove and eternal condemnation to be forever separated from god and cast into the lake of Fire Amen! Now ask your self is that The Life or A Life Amen! Ask your self what Good is it to gain the world and lose your soul?
C.one can be deceived by seeing the physical animation of the flesh and be led into thinking that he has life amen!
But this way, truth and life that Jesus is speaking of is on of brokenness! one of humbleness! And one of servitude Amen!
One that’s willing to be laid down so that others may live from it and through it amen!
Proverbs 14:12 ¶There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of death. Amen! You See
You can see that you have a Job and that you are a successful man or woman Amen! You can see that your degree makes you a man of knowledge And you can be deceived into thinking that you have the way! Amen!
You can get lost in the duties of taking care of your family and putting the kids through college! And be deemed by man a righteous man and believe that you have the way!
But at the end of this way you will find that! All you had was a way among many ways that will lead you straight to hell Amen!
There is only ONE WAY ONE TRUTH AND ONE LIFE AND THEY ALL CAN BE FOUND IN JESUS CHRIST! Remember Where There is a will there is a way!
But where there is His will there is the Way! Amen!
Conclusion: The Desire that drives you must be fueled by a longing to be restored to an Eternity with the Father which is in heaven and this desire will then give you a will and this will, will then in turn give you the way! And the way! Will lead you to the truth! And the truth! Will lead you to the life! That can only be found in the lord Jesus Christ! Amen! GOD BLESS YOU ! |
