So the other day I read mike's BLOG about praise from his son and a lady at the assisted living center. There was a reference to a phrase in the book of Luke. Where they told Jesus to tell his followers to quiet down and he said If I do that these very stones will cry out.
Then I'm going to work yesterday afternoon and theres a sign saying "these very stones will cry out.
During the early service as I sat in my seat with my hands clasped together a lady sat next to me saying that before now you used these hands to do your work now you will use these hands to praise me (meaning God). Then when I get home yesterday afternoon I have a CD waiting in the mail from Family Foundations about softening the hardened heart. I know the lord wants me to quit protecting my heart and let him do it.
So it seems to come down to trust. I reckon I have a lot to learned about resting in Christ rather than leaning on my own understanding. |
