Hi Kathy,

There is one thing I wanted to ask you... you look very like Dr Randi Hagerman who lives in Denver, Colorado and is a peadiatrician who specialises in Fragile X. Are you related to her, or are masquarading in disguise so you won't get bombared by all Fragile X questions?  I am not familiar with the US so would need to look at the map...

Seriously, though I don't really believe you are her, you have an impressive CV with many credentials to your name. If you were truely her, you possbily wouldn't have enough hours in the day to achieve all the things that you have listed.

lol Janine!  I am always being told I look like someone!  I think I just have one of those "every woman" faces!  I'm not familiar with Dr. Hagerman, but perhaps there are some family secrets I'm not privy to!  In seriousness, I'm glad my "twin" is working to help such special children!

Thanks Kathy.. I just know of her because my son has Fragile X and my foster son also has the disorder... it's a genetic disorder that is carried on the X chromasome. One of my nephews also has it...

My two boys got baptised on Sep 2, and it's amazing to hear Geoffrey sings the worships songs and hymns all the way through. He even did well in reading a simple testimony before his baptism.  Peter is non verbal but is very connected to people in the church through his helping spirit and always wanting to help in any shape and form. I feel blessed to have children such as them in my life... I have the perception that my two boys are people who are most connected to God in our church sometimes and they reflect it through their praise and singing, even though they can't verbalise their thoughts and feelings.

Janine, I have often thought that many of the people we consider "challenged" have a special spiritual sense that the rest of us do not access.  God bless you and your precious family!
