| The Judge's Plan and Execution |

Recently I was at a meeting for work. I sat and listened to this couple listing excuse after excuse and blaming everyone around the table for their failure to act. It became ridiculous; because no one at the table was able to reel them back in. I don’t normally take control of these meetings because that is not my position, but on this particular day I felt a need to speak up. I pulled out the document detailing the judge’s plan that had been given to this couple. There were 5 points on the plan. I read each point and made sure they understood the point and then I explained to them that they had the responsibility to complete the plan. Not the people sitting around the table. The judge had given the people around the table to help them, but they had to do the work. Than means if you need to get from A to B, and can’t afford it call X because she has a pile of tokens with your name on it. It is sad but I don’t think these people will be able to execute the plan. I have to praise God that our Judge has given us a plan as well. The best part about our plan is we don’t have to do anything to complete the plan. He did all the work for us, "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved." Eph 2:4-5. Now of course this plan does come with a price, we have to die to our sin and trust Jesus to give us a new heart, one that can follow in His steps. I am reminded that God’s plan is written down in a letter like the plan my judge gave this couple, and I need to continue to read from that plan so that I might follow Him more closely. If I don’t continue to read His plan, I might forget the call he has place on my life and I certainly will not be equipped appropriately to follow His plan. Join me in following His plan for our lives, will you… |

| You gotta read the plan in order to follow the plan, or else you are in danger of failing to execute! is that what I heard? Amen! :-) |

| Exactly. |

This is the critical step that so many skip. It is difficult to walk the path Christ has laid out for us if we never consult the map! |

Can I ask what type of work you do Glenn? Just curious.
And that's right! Thanks be to God that Jesus took our punishment in our steed, so that when we face the real judge, we will be found not guilty, if we are found in Him! |

You are right Sooz, the bible is our map and it is a very clear map at that.
Amen! Sue.
Yes you may and I would be glad to explain. I work for a legal aid society that represents children in family court. In NY children are presumed to be indigent and given an attorney in any proceeding where they might be involved. We represent children in neglect/abuse, some custody/visitation, any foster care placements, juvenile delinquent, and persons in need of supervision matters in family court.
I personally work as an investigator assisting the attorneys who represent the children in court. As you might imagine it can be a difficult job, but when we see children adopted or a family reunited and functioning as a family that is wonderful.
Anyway that is the basics, thanks for asking and thanks for reading. peace glenn |
