REMEMBER THAT A LYING TONGUE IS LIKE CANCER TO THE SOUL. IT EATS AWAY AT THE CAREACTOR OF THE SOUL. IT IS SO WONDERFUL TO KNOW WE HAVE A SAVIOUR WHO UNDERSTANDS US WHEN WE LIE AND IS WILLING TO FORGIVE US AND RESTORE US TO THE FLOCK. SO WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL AND TRY NOT TO LIE AS IT GRIEVES THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR US NOT TO BE HONEST. HUGS, JO
Lying = anything said that intentionally falls short of disclosing full truth in the interest of shaping someone else's perception of the truth! Yes, that's a very high standard -- but all of God's standards are very high. I included this definition b/c my first thought, and likely most people's initial thoughts, are "Oh I never lie!" Yeah, right!
