| The Miserable Failure of Modernism |

Modernism brought us feminism and political correctness. Many see these as victories. Others see them as miserable failures, a social experiment that has destroyed family life for a couple of generations in the guise of "equality" and led to what surely must be the highest divorce rates in all history.
Political correctness does not allow us to say "mankind" today. We must say "humankind" instead. This overlooks the simple truth that etymologically, they mean the same thing. The word "hu-man" also comes from "man." Now we must deny our gender by refering to ourselves as chairperson, rather than chairman or chairwoman.
Gender roles are now seen as evil and discriminatory, even among many Christians. So we have male and female police officers patrolling together and the adultery that goes with it. Will future generations perhaps begin to honor grandma and grandpa as not being out of touch, but perhaps having a few good ideas afterall? |
