I am writing this blog from the Neuro ICU waiting room at the Lynchburg General Hospital. Many of you have already heard about my daughter in-law Kathy. Let me take a few minutes to give you an update and to ask for your continued prayers.
Yesterday morning at about 2:30 AM Kathy was up with her newborn son Luke, when suddenly she realized she couldn't talk. She immediately woke her husband, Robbie and she was rushed to the hospital. After hours of intense testing she was diagnosed with a blood clot that settled on the section of her brain that impacts speech. This was probably a result of the stress of having a baby just a few days ago.
They immediately put her on blood thinners and 24 hours late I am glad to report she is doing much better. Thank you so much for your prayer. It made a difference. She is now able to begin to put words together into sentences slowly. She still has a way to go and the doctor's feel in six months she will be completely back to normal. She is still in NICU and will be here until they can regulate her medication. The progress she has made in the last 24 hours is absolutely wonderful. Please pray for Kathy, Robbie, Evan and Luke as this family weathers a real storm in their lives.
103:1 <Of David.> Give praise to the Lord, O my soul; let everything in me give praise to his holy name. 103:2 Give praise to the Lord, O my soul; let not all his blessings go from your memory.
