| Can our thoughts and emotions cause us to be sick? |

The ministry that GOD has given me is one of healing and restoration. I would like to touch on a couple of points concerning the relationship between our thoughts and disease. I believe that approxamently 80% of sickness and disease are caused by negative emotions and how we respond to them. It is our thoughts and emotions that begin a chain reaction in our brain (limbric system) and endocrine systems (release of hormones) that eventually have a consequence in our immune system. Stress is anything that causes a stress response i.e. that creates an alarm reaction. This alarm reaction results in the brain sending nerve impulses that stimulate the adrenal glands to release adrenaline and noradrenaline to the sympathetic nervous system. Now lets look at a Christian definition of stress. What creates an alarm reation in our bodies? Here are a few possibilities, unforgiveness, resentment, retaliation, anger, shame, fears, grief, self-hatred, being rejected, jealousy,envy, gossip ect... These negetive emotions are stress, but in Christian terms they are also called sins. They are called sins because they violate GOD's principals of forgiveness and repentence. Stress begins in the mind but stops in the body. This is a very short and incomplete study of how most of our health issues to include, diabetes, arthiritis, lupus, and many other diseases are within the body of Christ and why.Remeber this,for every thought you have conscience or unconsciense there is a a nerve transmission and release of a chemical in the bloodstream. It's up to you whether that thought or emotion lines up with what GOD says or if it's from that other kingdom. 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. Next post I'll discuss and give examples of what kind of and how you need to pray to get free from the unforgiveness, bitterness, shame, fear and other sins. We need to get rid of these, to become set apart (sanctified) for GOD. GOD does not want His children sick, thats one reason it's very important to become obedient to His Word and what He tells us through it. Ask Him for disernment He will give it to you.
