When I lived near Niagara Falls, Ontario I always made a point of venturing to see the horse shoe falls I was fascinated by their raw beauty. I was not alone no matter what time I went night or day, rain or shine people were there taking in one of God’s wonders. I can remember standing there for hours just watching tons of water spill over the edge into the gorge below, and I was amazed it never dried up. Unknowingly perhaps my fascination with the waterfalls stemmed from my ability to identify my own life with this beautiful creation. My life, like the waterfall never stood still it kept changing much like the waterfall what is present now is not what will be there in the future. Like us the waterfall is constantly reborn. We are reborn because of our faith in Jesus, He is our source of new life, changing life.
Before Jesus we were like a river bound by banks (Sin),constricted by channels ( Fear), but then suddenly we are set free. That freedom at times can be overwhelming, but like the waterfall we must be replenished by our source our we risk drying up and dying.
From Patrick a servant of God chosen to be an apostle of Jesus Christ
