Sometimes we find ourselves doing things that we most likely would not do but for the leading of God, Himself. We don't always understand, why He leads us to do some of the things He leads us to do. I figure it's not my job to always "understand". It's my job to obey and follow Him down the path He has before me at the moment. While my heart is in livng and walking a relational journey with Father, hand in hand, without the trappings and baggage of the institutional church, Father has seen fit to plant us in one of those institutional church settings. My wife and I both sense Father's leading in this area. We don't know for how long, but we are there until He releases us. We don't know exactly why we are there, but we are journeying down this path as Father leads us. It will be interesting to see what He does. Father opened serveral doors for us to minister through music as the New Jerusalem Singers this past year and we are looking forward to see what doors He opens for us this year. My wife, Cindy, and I enjoy playing and singing southern/country gospel music. We host one sing a month at a local Christian coffee house known as Holy Ground Coffee House. We also play and sing in a Cowboy Church band once a month. This is in addition to us going out and singing on our own as Father gives us the opportunity. I play bass guitar and sing lead and Cindy plays keyboard and sings alto. We've recorded a few cd's in the past and are looking at doing a couple more recordings this year. It is our goal and our intent to move with God as He leads. We learned long ago things go so much better if "WE" step out of the way and just let Father lead us. Good things happen. Until next time, I encourage you to follow hard after God. |
