UPDATE keeping the Faith family in the loop

GOD'S WOODSHED This Sunday will be the last in my series on God's discipline. This week we will be talking about Avoiding Discipline. Most people don't realize there are two different kinds of discipline when it comes to God's working in our lives. There is preventive which is designed to keep us from sin, Paul's thorn in the flesh is an example of this type of discipline. The other type is corrective which is designed to bring us back from sin. We will be looking closely at the believers in the church at Corinth who were under the corrective discipline of God for their sin at the Lord's Supper. I hope to show some ways we can avoid corrective discipline from this passage. I will close the message with a practical challenge on change and how we can truly change through Christ. I have found a fantastic video clip on the subject of change, I know you won't want to miss this, so I hope to see you Sunday. If you know someone who would really like to change this would be a great message to invite them to hear.

I attended High School with David Rhodenhizer. David had a severe speech problem but that didn't keep him from serving the Lord. He started a Bible club while at Glass and then attended Liberty University. He is now pastor of Calvary Road Baptist Church in Alexandria Virgina. This is a large church with a thriving Christian School. It is amazing what God has done in David's life. He will be our guest speaker Sunday 10.14.07. Here is the letter from his web site.
