I have been blessed to be part of a group of ladies that has done quite a bit of painting at our church. We painted murals on the walls of our church’s education center, in the upstairs hallway, of scenes of the bible (these pictures can be seen on the New Life Church of Christ MyChurch homepage). Most recently, we have done more painting on a much smaller scale. We painted the walls of the nursery room, and the 2-3 year olds classroom, blue and green (blue for the sky, green for the grass). In the nursery there are clouds and a rainbow, a sun, and an ABC train. In the other class room, there are also clouds, and a sun, and a painting of Jesus with several children surrounding him (I don't have a picture of this one yet).

Both of these projects were daunting, and would have probably not happened if it were left up to one individual. But with a group, we were there to motivate each other, to develop friendships with each other, and get the job done. The murals took us about a year to finish (you can see pictures of the murals if you go to my profile page, and click on my church's page, and go to "view all" ), and the other painting took a little over a month. It has been suggested that we now paint more murals on the walls downstairs, so that will probably be our next project.
Team work is vital to the survival and success of a church. Any event or project that needs done within the church or the surrounding community, needs lots of helping hands to make it happen. We all have individual talents that when put with others, can do unbelievable things. 12:4 For as in one body we have many members, and all the members do not have the same function, 12:5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 12:6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 12:7 if service, in our serving; he who teaches, in his teaching; 12:8 he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who contributes, in liberality; he who gives aid, with zeal; he who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
We all have a part to play within our church. What is your part? If you are not involved in the workings of the church, why not? If you feel that you are not talented enough, or that you don’t have enough time to give, then you are not allowing God to work through you. Even the smallest contribution will add to the whole.

Through small things which many people may consider as insignificant, God is glorified because it is done with a team spirit.

| Job, that is true! I think God is happy when we work as a team. |
