| Reality Church! |

Reality: authenticity,factual basis,truth,actuality,realness,substantantiality,existence,substance-these are just a few words to define the word reality.
So why Reality Church? is'nt the Church based on all truth?Real truth?
"Yes i believe it is!" however if you and i would look at the church from the eyes of the none churched Community would we be displeased with what we saw? would we come running to Church or would we be running away from the church?
In a world based on reality t.v., we are allowed to go into the homes of people and see them at there worst, shows like Nanny 911, wife swap, survivior Ect.
Then we make judgments as if in our family none of these things ever happen.
behind the sceens of the church ( Pastors , Decons, teachers, Evangelist) some of those in leadership have acted in ways that the world would veiw as Sinful and a downright abomination to God! If we take and eye veiw of all that goes on, we would see pride, envy, strife, bitterness, and the list goes on-and- on!
These are the things that the world would see if they went behind the sceens!
So if the world would see that and be displeased, what does God see?
5:24 Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written. 5:25 And this [is] the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. 5:26 This [is] the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. 5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. 5:28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.
God who sees all, and knows all things without reality t.v, for he is already there and has seen the reality! Knowing this should cauase us to walk according to the will and word of God. I am speaking to myself as i write." Let us please God, and show the world the true reflection of Him who knows all" |

| Hey there Keith,funny but I have been pondering on the "reality" especally for christians, and I was seeing how more and more people in the "high postions" are falling or being exsposed,we need to repent as christians as to the example we have displayed for the world, because eventually it does get in the news if they are a "big' like celebrities. what a sad state of affairs we the church are in , and the thing i was pondering on is how we get our sunday dress on and go and warm our church pew,pretending that we got it all together, the mask of christianity!! but meanwhile half of the people do not read and pray and really do not know who their God is and more than half probably have one foot in the world and one foot in the church, but the reality of it all is WE ARE IN NEED OF A SAVIOUR TO RESCUE US!!! God help us !!! The reality of the church is that we are SICK!! and we do not even recognize it, I have been saved for 29 years and I have seen the same thing over and over and over, we are spoon fed and we go home and regurgatate it, and chew on it again and again,Where is the Meat!! the Meat of his heart that will cause us to go and change become grown up and realize that the reality of our lives is to please him even when no one is looking!! Great thought! There are those of us who are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and unfortunately, many, far too many have "shamed" the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Let's believe God for a revival!

| We cant be hiding stuff I know but we cant be shredding each other every time we stumble either. I think the enemy would love to keep us isolated. |

I agree Dave, we (cant be shreeding) only building eachother up in the faith!

The church has been plagued with many faults, and no, we don't throw it in the face of the ones at fault, but i do believe we should direct them to the Scripture's! Thanks for your comment. |

I hate to say it but the world loves to see one of us stumble. But when we love one another and reach out to each other it seems that Christ's love is magnified. 1:7 but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Thats the ticket Dave!( The world loves to see us stumble!) and the Scripture i gave you Gal 6:1 teaches us how to keep people from countinuing falling, by showing them (in Love)the scripture you gave, but if you have children and they are, or do something wrong, you show them how to correct it by the scripture and in Love, to do less than that is no love at all!
notice i'm not talking about kicking a man when they are down No! i'm talking about loving them enough to show them the way.
Case in-point you and i are from a backround of addiction, if someone from AA/na were to take us to a bar or drug house, than surely they dont have or best intrest at heart, and they certainly dont love us, "if they did"!
but if they direct me to a meeting or offered me a place of refuge,while sharing with me( not condemning me!) how they are making it, i am better for it! |
