I still believe that which most follow today is still clouded with many added man-made mythologies that have somehow found a mainstay in Christendom.
With so much information available online now, it takes much time to discover truth. Sadly much of what we see are still the "lies" now just propagated in electronic format. The sifting process though the Holy Spirit is paramount. Can we believe all we hear and read without the inner Witness? Dangerous ground if you ask me.
We have lost the prime purpose of salvation and that is to have an intimate relationship with God. Many have exchanged this for churchianity and do the do's to appease Mr/Mrs Feelgood.
In my search for truth, I find so many traditions that were not supposed to be there in the first place. Does HE, Jesus need to come a 2nd time literally to finish what He has ordained us to be a part of?
His 2nd coming is always in the present tense not a future event most hold wrongly to. He came for you and I did He not?
When we are truly led of the Holy Spirit, He, God will accomplish His will. Many are called but few chosen is not about the faithful and the backsliders. Its about those who discover their purpose with God in this life.
All creation groans for the manifestation of the sons of God, how long O Lord must we still wait?
Yes the gospel was lost, replaced with religion. Christianity is simplistic in that His yoke is easy and His burden is (supa-)light. Whom He sets free is free indeed.
Religion derives its meaning from the ancient word Religāre which literally means "to bind up" How much more opposite can one get. To say I am religious is to say I am in bondage. If you are yoked to Jesus only, that bondage will in essence be a light burden.
[Origin: 1150–1200; ME religioun (< OF religion) < L religiōn- (s. of religiō) conscientiousness, piety, equiv. to relig(āre) to tie, fasten (religāre to bind, tie; cf.
[Middle English religioun, from Old French religion, from Latin religiō, religiōn-, perhaps from religāre, to tie fast; see rely.] (source)
Oh how man has perverted the true Word of God, exchanging the simplicity of the "good news" for a "heavy burden."
God has always sought to be reconciled to His creation. Man has tried "his own" way far too long. Praise God that He is beginning to opening the eyes of many to the real truth.
Yes He loves everyone. If He could save wretches like you and me, can He not accomplish this for all mankind? What makes us special? We are all special in His Eyes and we know He is no respecter of persons.
God ultimately must be in the equation, He does not merely act when we "lead someone to Christ". No! even if you want a pat on the back, you were just an instrument He used to accomplish this. No! we shall not get stars in our crowns for each one "we save" let alone a crown itself. Standing naked before Him one day we will all bow and acknowledge, it was Him all along and worship Him in true Spirit.
Oh how we soon forget when He said, "It is finished." Mission accomplished. We cannot outdo God, we cannot outdo the Cross. Pawns in the great chess game of life, we are moved and controlled by the Great Author.
It is so simple when we find our rest in God and "relax." No longer the need to work our salvation but to wait on the Lord, listen to His voice and act according to His will. Oh how we then can rejoice to see the miracles unfold before us knowing it is the Miracle Worker and not the "anointed" doing the works.
Yes the true gospel "good news" is there, hidden in plain sight. Yet it was prophesied that we would not hear, let alone see in spite of what Jesus did.
So much truth in this saying "Let go and let GOD"
Blessings in Christ |

Yes, Seeker, God is no respector of persons. When the veil was split and Jesus said "It it finished.' our salvation was a sure thing. No wonder so many people love religion; they love being bound up in tradtions, duties, laws, regulations and religious duty.
You always see the light of the gospel in your posts, B. Love ya. Debs |

Dear Disciple of Jesus Christ
I like your handle. Yes when the scales fall off a 2nd time, we can then sing Amazing Grace with a totally new understanding.
The knock and seeking Jesus spoke about was not about finding salvation, salvation finds us. The knocking and seeking is the part we need to do to discover the Father's heart and His will for our lives.

Wow Bernie.............that was a powerful statement..........I also wonder if there is anything we can do to discover God's will/purpose for our lives as he seems to have us on a timetable and like Christmas we wait and groan wanting to look into these things.........and then one day a whole new vastness of who and what he is unfolds...........until he says open this..........I seem to remain in darkness........or twilight.....lol coming is the dawn of a whole new day.

Hi Joian
Yes it is powerful, don't give me the credit though, running on autopilot today well mostly.
The 1st bit is the easy one that God takes care of. The 2nd part requires our participation and that is mandatory.
Most have it back-to-front thinking it is hard to accept Christ and easy to find God and listening only to the preacher does not cut it.
Actually once God has done the drawing and we spiritually see the outstretched hand of salvation, we can only say yes, there really is no choice doh!
Study to shew thyself approved. Note the keyword study, something we need to do.
Yes even here the Holy Spirit does most of the guiding, we merely need to set our "spiritual wheels" in motion and listen with Spiritual Eyes and hear with Spiritual Ears. He , the Holy Spirit speaks a language kiddies can understand and meets us on our level of understanding

I don't see how you do all you are doing Bernie........makes me tired everytime I see you on line......lol
The truth is have done little else but study for 30 years........and so much of that depends on aptitude and time......LOL........but truly any time I made strides it was by his illumination...........when that light came all the study was like a pile of worthless dung in comparison...........it's only use for me became a historical study...........lol I know you know the word without his life breathed into it is just that, lifeless words...........and sometimes a legalistic battering ram ........I am just now getting what the outline is.........for the kingdom of God.........until the middle is filled in I would be ashamed to speak except in retrospection............ warnings...and to encourage others when what they write contains life......so much of what you write is just that...........take care to rest that vessel of yours..........

TY Joian for those kind words
Well these days I have little else to do but to explore and discover. Unlike what many may see me as a teacher, I am not.
I wake up empty every morning and have not a clue what I will say or post until the Lord directs my steps. Much of what I share as revelation is new to me too. Today is a quiet day as I sense no directing. Some days the Lord is silent.
The here a little, there a little, precept upon precept is what is happening to me.
I have hung up my sword for awhile as battling apologetics is tiring. I am in rest mode as far as that goes.
Blessings to you |

Many of the churches that are always warning about "backsliding" often preach a message that sounds like good doctine, but if one stays there, they will soon find that the "spirit" coming from those places soon makes one's head spin and these will 100% of the time lead believers to question their salvation, ultimately resulting in one attempting to again perfect the flesh. Again, many times these places do have sound biblical teaching, yet no person in the congregation seems to really receive any spiritual gifts or really seems to grow much. I'm not sure what God uses these places for, other than for one who breaks free to never hold to anything but their salvation thru Jesus and the Word of God again. I have never attended a church, but sometimes when other christians even send you tapes and you listen to them, you might find yourself "running for your life". LOL
