| Predestination |

This is a biblical teaching that declares the sovereignty of God over man in such a way that the freedom of the human will is also preserved.
There is two major concepts to this
1 God , who is all powerful in the universe, has foreknown and predestined the course of human history and the lives of each person in it. I f he were not in complete control of human events, he would not be sovereign and, thus would not be God.
2 God's predestination of human events does not eliminate human choice. To understand the true meaning of this and how it works seems to be for his infinite mind alone. The greatest minds for centuries have tried and are still trying to figure this one out. I will not even to attempt to say that I fully understand it.
There are two views on predestination, one is Calvinism which states that God offers irresistible grace to those that he elects to save ,which I personally do not believe fully ,but that is just me.
Next is Armininianism which teaches that God's grace is the source of redemption but it can be resistedby man through his free choice. In Calvinism God chooses man in Armininiasim ,the man chooses God.
1:11 In whom we have a heritage, being marked out from the first in his purpose who does all things in agreement with his designs; This alludes to predestination but the word is not actually used. 8:28 And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, `even' to them that are called according to `his' purpose.
2:4 who would have all men to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth.
1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
1:14 I am debtor both to Greeks and to Barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish. No one is saved without the will of God.
No one is damned without the will of God.
I tell people that I would rather base my life on the 1 % chance that what the bible says is true , put all my faith in the salvation given by Jesus Christ on the cross live my life to the best of my fleshly ability ,but always know that it is by his grace only that I receive salvation and eternal life.
To be proven wrong the only consequences would be that I live I die some would call me crazy ,some would call me a man of God.
Or I could live my life the way I want to discover after death the the bible is and was always true and face God's judgement then.
I will take option 1!
Death and the hereafter is one journey that we all take separately from one another I have chose my path I hope this will help you choose yours.
Be Blessed and be a Blessing. |
