Well, I am up and feeling somewhat better. I have not been blogging b/c I have been in bed for most of the last few days. I am still not feeling 100% but am feeling better. I had a terrible food day on October 4th. I did fine until the late afternoon then I had three chocolate chip cookies and sherbert. I ate almost nonstop from about 4 pm until close to bed time. For me this time the trigger was not feeling well. There is a saying I picked up from OA, it is an acronym: HALT it stands for Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired. I added another letter for me-"S" HALTS: Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired, Sick. These are all triggers to eat compulsively, to use food as a drug rather than sustenance. I yielded to the temptation to overeat due to sickness on Thursday afternoon and evening. I repented, and got right back to business Friday morning. Those days where I stumble are less and less as I walk out the path God has planned for me. I have got to tell you, this blog is a tremendous help to me because it is keeping me accountable. I so need that accountability. 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. So I put my body back under so that I am not disqualified to preach deliverance to others still bound. I hope everyone else was able to get to church today. I hate missing a service!
Here's today's food:
Breakfast: none, I slept through it. Lunch: 2 oz. cheese, popcorn w/ 1 T coconut oil, sherbert 2 scoops Dinner: 2 eggs, 1 cup sauteed chopped pepper, 2 slices toast *** I skipped the toast and had 2 1/2 scoops of sherbert Snacks: probably another round of popcorn I'll update later. 1 cup frozen grapes & popcorn w/ 1T coconut oil
Here's my food I from the last few days: Saturday October 6, 2007 Breakfast: 1 cup blueberries & 1 c. yogurt Lunch: 2 oz. cheese, 2 slices whole wheat toast, popcorn w/ 1 T coconut oil Dinner: cornish game hen breast, 1/2 c. coleslaw, slice of cornbread, 2 in x 2 in (1 in. high) slice of cake Snacks: 2 chicken sausage hors d'oevres, 4 wheat thin crackers, 6 cracker rods (I have no idea what they are really called they are shaped like short thin pretzel rods, but are crackers)
Friday October 5, 2007 Breakfast: 2 slices toast w/ 2 T almond butter Lunch: 1.5 oz. cheese, popcorn w/ 1 T coconut oil, sherbert 2 scoops Dinner: 1 c. spaghetti & sauce (no meat) Snacks: popcorn w/ 1 T. coconut oil, sherbert 2 scoops
Thursday October 4, 2007 Breakfast: 1 c. blueberries & 1 c. yogurt Lunch: 2 bowls meat sauce & popcorn w/1 T coconut oil Dinner: 1 bowl beef stew Snacks: 3 chocolate chip cookies, popcorn w/ 1 T coconut oil x 2, sherbert 2 scoops, & sherbert 3-4 scoops, and a pumpkin muffin |
