Wow! What more can I say. That's all I can really say. It was awesome. Bethany Dillion opened the concert but unfortunately she was very hard to understand. It sound like she was to close to the mic or something. I will say that I got her CD as part of a package they were offering and it is pretty good. After Bethany Dillion came Sanctus Real. Boy did things liven up then. They are awesome and boy did the crowd get pumped up when they came out. Awesome music. Got their CD with The Face of God on it as part of the package deal as well. Awesome CD. After Sanctus Real was the intermission but before the intermission could start Stephen Curtis Chapman came out to talk about his change for orphans program. The cool part about this was that he let us know that the money collected would be presented to a local couple that was already approved for a grant to help with adoption costs thru his program. Well at this point of course came intermission. After intermission things really got hopping....literally. When Stephen Curtis Chapman came out he started jumping around on stage. New music and old. It was all wonderful and very upbeat. I just wish I had some of his energy because he sure is full of energy. He was still jumping up and down at the end of the show. He has such a wonderful message and his music backs it up. It is so awesome to go to a concert and really see these artists perform because you can see how much they really believe what they are saying. CDs are great but they don't give ya the opportunity to really see how much they believe etc.It is so worth going to a christian music concert to see this. Well anyhow back to this concert. After Stephen Curtis Chapman performed he did as promised and brought out this couple that was going to receive the money that was collected. It turned out to be over $3,000. How awesome to be a part of this and to see their appreciation for the help they need to adopt the little 6 year old girl they are adopting. She is from one of those countries I've never heard of let alone know how to spell. Not that its important where she's from anyhow. the important part is that she will soon be coming to the United States where she will have so many more opportunities than she would ever have where she is now. The husband in this family is planning the first trip to this country for Oct 28th. I hope and pray that he will have a safe trip and that all will work out for them and this little girl. How awesome to know that I was a part of making this possible. Amazing. This was the end of the concert and what a concert it was. It was a wonder night of fellowship and worship.
Well my first blog is done. Better watch out cause ya might not be able to stop me now.....then again I may never have anything to blog about again. Who knows. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Hope you enjoyed this story and if you get a chance to go to one of these shows it is so worth it.
I actually forgot about the fact that there was a group of people from Cancer Centers of America there and there was a lady that spoke about her faith and her fight after the intermission. She was an inspiration.
My grandma is struggling with cancerouse cells. She goes to treatments every other week and they make her very weak. She has always been a strong woman so it is weird seeing her so weak. If you could say a little prayer for her I would appreciate it a lot. God Bless.
