In the recent weeks, our dev team has been working to make sure our hardware is up to par and able to handle all the traffic we've been getting. The site has been growing rapidly, and while this is a very good thing, it does require a bit more in terms of space and cpu power. In an effort to make sure the site is as fast and efficient as possible, we have moved your bulletin space out of your Home page. But, we also increased your What's Fresh feed for both friends and church items. We did have a couple mishaps with our hosting but all (or hopefully most) features should be fine now. Thanks so much for bearing with us during these last few glitches. As the hardware was upgraded, so have the conversations. Here are some neat things we thought were definitely worth sharing.. Coreena encourages with a powerful anniversary testimony. Mike n Laura found themselves trapped in the wrong church! Norm finds youth camps teach flying. Edward reflects on pride. And Kyleen is letting God surprise her. Also, churches like Valley Bible Fellowship are learning how organize life for ministry and Georgetown Community Church shares the importance of Breathing. Very encouraging stuff! (Be sure to check out more cool stuff happening at MyChurch in your bi-monthly Community Updates newsletter) Team Member Update - Pastor Dave Hamm We would also like to update everyone on Pastor Dave's condition. As many of you know, Dave is an integral part of the MyChurch Team and along with the work of our dedicated Church Admin Staff, he has contributed tirelessly to building and lifting up this community with a dedicated and faithful heart. He has, for some time now, been living with a rare, non-curable and eventually fatal genetic disorder called Melas Syndrome. In recent months however, complications have arose and Dave unfortunately experiences a great deal of discomfort and pain on a daily (and nightly) basis. Much of the work that goes on behind the scenes at MyChurch has Dave's handprints all over it and we couldn't be more blessed with this faithful servant continuing to share his gifts with us. And of course despite all this, Dave continues to lift our spirits with his presence and silliness. :) Would you join us in lifting up our brother Dave in prayer? We would be so grateful and blessed if you would. Thank you all for your presence and for being an encouraging community in Christ. |
