ooooh, first of all, I learned your real name! :-) (but I'll still call you Jay!)

We drove thru Houston once. I have to admit, it just didn't "feel" like Texas to me. But then TX is a big state, and I guess it doesn't feel the same everywhere you go. BTW, what thee heck is chicken fried steak??? Is it steak or is it chicken? (or is it not even either of those?) hehe

I see you like CSI as well...and I agree, the original one is the best.

Sue~ One day about a year ago in prayer the Lord told me to start blogging. He gave me the vision as being Bible-based and then fresh, relevant and personal. I didn't really want to be all those things out in public but I obeyed and now I take care of 5 blogs, one for a client who pays me well. It was intimidating at first but I soon found it was just an upgrade from all the newletters I've done over my lifetime. (I have always been passionate about publishing.)

Mike~ I can't believe you came through Texas and never got acquainted with chicken friend steak! It's seasoned tenderized round steak fried in a batter like fried chicken. Always served with white cream gravy and real (not instant) mashed potatoes.

Revealing my real name is me still transitioning into that "personal" part of God's job description I wrote about to Sue.  Also I can't be Janell on MyChuch because there is already one here. First time in my life I've run into anyone who knows how to spell it!

restore, Deb~ thanks for stopping by.

My Mom grew up in Elk City, OK.  I'm told that's where Dr Pepper got started, but the person who told me that also changed the rules for Monopoly so she would always win.

Jess~I think you are right to be suspicious of your Monopoly friend. I've always heard Dr Pepper got started in Waco, TX, home of Baylor University.

I can't believe  you get paid to blog, but that is so cool.
I agree with the rather be home sentiment, sometimes.  I suppose it depends on how much work I have left to do on the home.
By the way, nice to meet you.
