Counterfeit Revival

 Available at christianbook.com Counterfeit Revival uncovers many of the false ideas so popular among televangelists and other forms of pop-Christianity. Its strength is the breadth of coverage and the references are thorough. Its weakness is that it is so focused on the problem that it provides very little in the way of solution, mostly focusing on the problem. However, it presents those of us looking for genuine Christianity a real challenge to reconsider some of the more popular falsehoods circulating today.

Have you read the book through or just started it?  I was wondering what you think is the top superficiality?

I have read it through twice. It exposes many falsehoods in pop Christianity, especially the back yard theology of many televangelists. However, it does not do much in the way of solutions. I believe that Hank ought to have provided a whole chapter on how to imunize the church against the false teachings especially the plethora of false teachings and empty headed fluff on Christian TV. However, he did not do this.
