| OH GOD! |
|
| |
Well since my lovely wife started this writing thing, I thought I'd fine some time to try it. Here goes This is one of my favorite humorous illustrations on the fact that all of creation does what it was created to do. We humans are the only one of God's creation that fine it so hard to do what comes so naturally for the other creation (plant life, sea life, animals etc.) It goes as follows:
There was this man who didn't believe in God one bit, who went out into the woods to enjoy nature. He was observing the beautiful different kinds of flowers and plants, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine and he came upon this cave and was curious and went inside to explore. All of a sudden he comes running out at full speed chased by the biggest grizzly bear you ever did see. Running for his life the man tripped over a log, the bear leaps on top of him with his sharp claws in the air, ready to come down and take this guys head off. This man who doesn't believe in God all of a sudden crys out "OH GOD". Just then everything stopped. The wind stopped blowing, the streams stopped flowing, there wasn't a sound to be heard except for God saying "Well" The man pleaded with God " I don't expect you to believe me now when I haven't turned to you in the past. Totally ignored you and rebelled against you. But I would ask you to do me just one favor. Would you please turn this bear into a Christian". God said "So be it" Right then, the streams began flowing again the wind began blowing again and this bear with his claws in the air places them into a position of prayer and prays... Thank you God, for giving me, this great meal to eat.
If the bear was just doing what comes naturally. Let us get in step with God and do what should come not naturally, but SUPERNATURALLY!
Psalm 102:18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
| Psalm 24:1 | A psalm of David. The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.
| Well I hope my first blog has been a blessing to somebody. Pastor Ken |

Thanks Pastor Ken,
There's an athiest and a Christian sitting in a restaraunt in Alaska.
The athiest says to the Christian I tried God once he didn't do anything for me.
The Christian asked what the deal was.
The athiest said I was lost in a blizard and I thought I was gonna die.
So I prayed to God if your there save me.
The Christian said your here you must believe.
The athiest said naw some eskimos showed up and rook me into town. |

Pastor Tim. I'm constantly tucking humorous illustrations away for the appropriate time. If you or anyone else has some really good ones to share like Hopefienddave did let me hear it. I believe that even though we're saved and have every reason to laugh and be happy some of us need a jolt of humor to get the brain to put that smile into action. Love y'all - Pastor Ken |

Great humorous story and very encouraging to me. Pastor Ken, you must keep up your end of the dynamic duo...you are so precious and all your comments and blogs are loved and appreciated. I needed to hear this today because of one of YOUR friends I met on YOUR page...Siani and Suphala Harpal of Orissa, India.
Together we are expecting God to do miracles here and in India. We are expecting God to win all of India through their making movies made by them and later the English-speaking, musically gifted Christian school children and orphans under their care. (As of yet, they have no building big enough, not many educational supplies, no camcorder or musical instruments and no needed bus and small car.) But God is sending all this and more. We believe God is going to use them and multiply them beyond all expectation.
A great revival is going to break out because India is destined to become the next South Korea, winning the Muslim countries all around them through love and shared blessings. This will undoubtedly happen if the Christians in America get involved and sacrifice some of their comforts and share their blessings. How can we get the word out?)
There are 25,000.000 women in India (half) who can't read. We need to create a Primer based on the stories of Jesus (of whom they have never heard). We can teach them to read, and they will learn of Jesus at the same time. Siani says this will work. It will need to be put in 5 languages. God miraculously helped him to learn Hindi and English in two months to stay in Bible College, so I believe God can do anything with this man. He's God's man in God's place at God's time. Like Elijah was among the prophets of Baal with his soaking wet altar. Praying for the FIRE OF GOD TO FALL FROM HEAVEN and show His awesome power and authority. To prove HE is GOD, not the idols. We are looking for the miraculous in a HUGE way to happen. <:))))>< Connie Radomski |

Praise the Lord! pastor ken, I have missed your humorous illustrations. When someone shows you who or what they are believe them! If one person tells you it quacks, its a duck; if two people tell you it quacks, it's a duck; when three people tell you it quacked, then know its a Duck...quack, quack. God Bless! Peace, Yaa |

Well Connie Radomski, Your comment came at the right time. I am going through a tough time in preparing messages and even getting here to Mychurch due to my 7days a week work schedule. Even though I am determined to keep up my end of our husband and wife team, it doesn't come easy. Much of the time I can not even concentrate or think when work is done due to this work schedule. Your comment lifted me and reminded me through your sharing what's happening in the lives of other people that are going through tough situations and still making a mark for the Kingdom of God, that nothing is to hard for God. My dependence totally rests in Him and what He can do to make things happen no matter what the circumstances dictate. I will shake myself and keep on keepin on. It's not in my ability but God's ability, not in the natural but SUPERNATURAL. May we all stay plugged in. Thanks again Connie |

Pastor Ken, This one's for you. I just read your comment on my comment. I'm surprised you had time to write ANYTHING or read anything, busy as you are. But because you said what you did...that my encouragement of you at just the right time was causing you to trust God for a miracle, I want to remind you that it works both ways. Because of your having a website on MyChurch.org where I came and FOUND your friend Siani and made him mine, I am not only GOING on a cruise with my friend and my daughter and my husband to see and help Siani Harpal's ministry in India...and teach the orphans English, violin and keyboard for a month, but I hope to come home with a couple new children and return every year to visit. You talk about miracles? Try this one on for size: We want to teach HALF A BILLION ILLITERATE POOR PEOPLE to read about Jesus. That's more than twice the number of folks living in the USA. We want to start a church every 5 villages. We want to get each church group a business that will help the community as well as make the Christians a living (half a billion people don't have jobs while another half a billion people do.)...like making clean water using solar or windmill power, and electricity available and assembling pre-fab housing. What do you think of them apples? Talk about miracles. This is all in the prayer stage, but God is really starting to make things rock and roll here. I imagine people on MyChurch are getting tired of me talking about INDIA, INDIA, INDIA... Sorry, but it's TIME FOR INDIA to become the most influential country in their part of the world...their work ethic and spiritual awareness and thirst for knowledge is 100X that of Americans...and the church better not drop the ball on this one. The former "untouchables" are switching from Hinduism because they aren't allowed in the temples...why must they switch to Buddhism just because there aren't enough Christians around to share the Good News? ( I doubt they'll switch to Islam unless they are socially pressured into it, because they value freedom so highly. Islam restricts freedom severely.) Well, I don't know how I got so involved in all this...but you had something to do with it. <:))))>< Connie |
