| A Time for the Godmobile |

Yesterday, at the end of the service, Pastor Norm reminded everyone that fair time is almost upon us and asked for more volunteers to work in the Godmobile.
I want to be able to do that so much! As he talked about it, a bit of bitterness began to creep in because it is just not possible for me to be able to do it this year -- between working nights and and having three children, it's just not possible. However, as clear as a bell, the Lord reminded me:
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:" (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
Sometimes I have a hard time accepting God's timing for my life. I usually want what I want when I want it -- and I want it right now! I have to constanly remind myself that life is full of "seasons". While I have a deep longing to do something like the Godmobile, that is not for this time in my life -- but it could be later on this year - or next year - or maybe not for five years -- but it's all in God's timing. In the meantime, I can pray for those working at the Godmobile each night, and focus on the things God would have me to do in this season of my life. |
