| You are already beautiful |
|
| |
How many times we muttered to ourselves, "I have nothing to wear!" or "look at this pimple!" and just groaned in agony... If it isn't our clothing, or our face, it's our hair. Seems like it's always something. We just don't get it.
And why worry about your clothes? Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't he more surely care for you? You have so little faith! - Matthew 6:28-30 Matthew tells us to stop in our tracks. And if we do, we realize something important. There is much more to life than how we look. You see, I believe that God thinks we are beautiful despite our appearance. It is what is inside us that counts. How we believe, how we behave, our thought patterns.
How many times have you told your children, or teenagers that they are beautiful, or handsome and they just cannot see that?
Is that not the same for God? He created us, naked as could be! Certainly He didn't care about the clothing or makeup we would eventually wear. He cares about our souls, and our hearts. He cares about "the whole of us", meaning that we shouldn't worry about all of that stuff.
So we have a loving God, and if we have faith, we leap forward, anxious to tell anyone we can about Him and how much He loves them. We want to share His tenderness and compassion, and teach others about Him, help them not to worry so much, but to have absolute faith in Him. Holy Father, For this rainy day, we give You thanks. For the gift of life and Your unending love we surrender our worries about things that don't matter. For what matters is You, and Your children. Please give us the words to speak, and the courage to step up to the plate. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen |

Great blog, Joey! It's raining here today too. Our day began with a physical rain and a spiritual rain as well. It's been a special day for the Father to love on his children--there's nothing that makes you feel more beautiful than being in His presence. |

Amen. Some times we get so focused on what's in front of us that we forget what lies down the path. I try to check myself from time to time by asking if what I'm doing will make a difference in 50 years from now. Either it will to my walk with God or it will in the lives who stay behind. Otherwise I'm "worrying about pimples." Great blog. |

Oh, this reminds me of a new favorite song, "Crazy Beautiful" by Chasen!
I'm on my daughter's laptop, so can't easily access the lyrics... but it is right in line with what you wrote. :) It's all about our identity in Christ - over-the-top BEAUTIFUL! Crazy Beautiful! :) Love it! |

| Thank you Joey, we all need to be reminded that we are all beautiful. It isn't about the hair, the clothes, or other things- its about the inner beauty. You are BEAUTIFUL. |

Great Word here Joey!
I like the passage from James that talks about how if you want to see what you look like in the physical, you look into a mirror and trust what you see. But if you want to see who you are in the Spirit you look into the perfect law of liberty that sets men free!
I wrote a short blog entitle "Spritual Mirror" in line with this passage.
Thanks for the encouraging word. I needed to hear this tonight! |

I C this blog was written in October, but today it is raining too! 12-10-07. So, that was neat. There is a secular artist that sings a song called beautiful. Iliked it so well, I wanted to c the video. Bad move. It was a BAD video. However, the words are true. We are beautiful in every single way! |

When I Think About The Word "Beautiful" I Think of This Song "I Can Only Imagine", By Mercy Me (About How Beautiful How My Precious Father Must Acually Look Like. http://www.youtube.com/v/S70gwFcSK9k&rel=1
And As Far As Any Of Us We Are All His Very Beautiful Children & Always Will Be To Whether We All Think So Or Not... (((Hug))), Thanks For The Post! Iris |

God looks on our hearts...not our outward appearance! I would rather have one friend who is beautiful inside, and has a beautiful heart...for it makes them beautiful inside and out...than have 100 friends who are beautiful according to the world's standards...But Have No Heart!
Great Post,
Cathy |

There is a young lady on mychurch who posted a statement that said something like....make sure you know your are beautiful before he tells you...
It was such a profound statement...knowing that beauty comes from within... |

Whew! What a relifef! Bald is beautifu saith the LORD. :)
Anyway, you are so right! We are created in His image and likeness. He looks on the heart it is man that looks on the outward appearance. It is so easy to forget especially when we see others, and hear others, and see what society says, but we knkow the truth and the truth will set us free right? |
