That's a good word, Glenn.  I'll be holding onto these thoughts as I strive to shine for my family this week.  I have been encouraged!  Thanks!

Hey Dave, I know doing can be tough, but we take little steps and He gives us grace.

Sooz, glad you came to read.
Thanks to you both.

Glenn, this is excellent!!! That list might not be compreh-ensive, but it certainly is ext-ensive! A wonderful examination of how God's Word treats the concept of "one another". And you even included one of my newest favorite verses, exhorting us to continue "bearing with one another in love". I'm not sure why, but I think you just made my day! :-)  ~mike

(ps... thanks for the blog plug too!)

Tropical, you are right that it can be difficult to tell who your brother and sister is, but that is why we seek God's Spirit to direct our paths.  Actually walking in the light as restore pointed out will help us discern who is our brother and sister.

Restore, thanks for the Sripture add, walking in the light is a great concept, and God blesses us as we walk with fellowship!

Mike, thanks for the comments and the nudge to write.  Not so sure my writing is up to your standard, but I do appreciate your gracious comments.  When I was looking for the url for your blog, I remembered that you had written on "bearing with one another in love" and almost scrapped mine, but then thought, God uses each of us in different ways.  Thanks again for your encouragment.

peace all.

Very good post.  I have not been shown the 'love' of 'one another' on MyChurch.  Many have and still talk bad about me and to me.  I know they reject the Truth and that is why they are hostile toward me.  I only post bible truth.  They get very angry when their false ideas and opinions and falsle doctrines and traditions of man are exposed.

A true disciple is one who follows Jesus.  That means Jesus' Truth too, His Doctrine.

We can and should still love those who do not know the Truth and by telling them the Truth, we show love, sometimes the rurth hurts.  No one likes to be told or shown they have been believing lies or duped.  Pride can keep one from accepting the truth.  They think, "how could my Pastor have lied to me?"  They may not know they are not teaching and practicing True Doctrine either.

Sometimes we need to show Touch Love.  It can mean the difference between, "well done" or 'depart from me".

I will be posting a blog about Love also.  I just have not seen much shown to me on MyChurch but I do forgive them and understand.  One even called me an 'ass'.  She said "if God could use an ass, then I suppose he can use you too."  She was very rude and hateful.  Very sad when 'Christians' act that way.  If a non believer sees or hears that type of behavior, what will they think?

This person and many others have not apoligized and that's ok, I just hope they ask God to forgive them.  I have forgiven them and hope they change their ways and follow Love and true doctrine of course.

Thanks, but; No, I wasn't really hurt personally.  It was just pretty sad to see Christians act that way.  But I do understand that not all follow the Spirit.  It was just odd.  They'd call me names and start blogs about me accusing me of being a heritic and teaching false doctrine and a divider, but they'd never tell me what I was wrong about.  I only post bible truth and I know their behavior came out of pride and anger.

I put up my blog about Love too.

That is why I have my site set to 'friends only' comments to keep the mean ones from attacking me more.  But I know it's not really 'them' and I know it's not really 'me'.

6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

But we need to show the Love of God anyway.
