Pastors know about this "syndrome" more than any other...

This is something that happens everyday. We as people of God have to be led by the Spirit. I encourage you to guard yourself. Be mindful of what you allow to enter your hear. It only takes one word from an offended person to make your mind wonder. When you do not know which way to go,pray I promise you God will not lead you wrong.

So true...a comment caused me to write this blog.  Offended people are seed sowers ESPECIALLY, when they are carnal minded.  There are times when we will have to take correction or instruction and move on.  But, my experience has been that instead of fessin up or repentin we will finger point.  What a shame to live in such bondage.  Lord, always show me, me first and according to this deal my obedience or disobedience before I to dish it out.
10:6 Being ready to give punishment to whatever is against his authority, after you have made it clear that you are completely under his control.

Daily I ask God to shine the light of truth on me, deal with me and show me my short comings.  I tell you the truth so much is going on and folks don't want to fess up! I am so glad that God delivered me from that spirit of offense. I didn't know that at the time the enemy uses it to create discord in our lives, and hinder our spiritual growth, It was a miserable way to live. I think God for deliverence. I find that it is kinda hard to maintain relationship with people that seem to think they have been offened, when in all reality they have not, its just an excuse to fall away. I get frustrated because they say they love the Lord, I love my pastor and my chruch but.....My son told me something when he was in the 12th grade, I'll always carry with me, He said " Momma, as long as you expect everyone to be like you, you will always be disappointed," in other words, just because it is something that I would not do, does not mean others want. What do you do when you know someone that feels they are offened because things didn't go their way?

Psa 119:165 Great peace have they who love Your law; nothing shall offend them or make them stumble. AMP

So true.  It is one thing be offended and to quickly release, but it is a whole other danger to carry offenses.  Offenses are birthed out of selfish and/or self will folks.  Because we can't have our way we go off into a flesh tantrum and vomit on own words...This is where the shallow watered believers live.  My way, my will, myself.  That scripture is right on..if we have God's peace nothing will offend.  I'll take that word snack!

This is a billboard blog.  It should be out there for everyone to see. Many don't realize how dangerous taking on someone's offense is.  I looked up the word offense. (Shout out to Apostle & Prophet Odom for the impartation!)  Hey ya gotta get to root of the word by looking it up.
Offense: discourtesy: a lack of politeness; a failure to show regard for others; wounding the feelings or others, umbrage: a feeling of anger caused by being offended, the action of attacking an enemy.  When someone is offended, the defense is the enemy.  So here's the definition of defense.
Defense: military action or resources protecting a country (The Body of Christ) against potential enemies, protection from harm,an organization of defenders that provides resistance against attack.
One thing about the defense they're militant like, very stategic in their thinking, and in their actions.
I say all this to say, in this walk we can't afford to take on someone else's offense.  Look at the definition of defense again.....are you still carrying someone else's monkey on your back?  One thing I've learned is for every offense there is definitely a defense.

OH-Neoka, now that is really good.  You have brought out some valid points in the definition as well as the defense.  People like to pretend that they never get offended, but that is a lie.  We just mask it in blogs, emails, but not in face to face combat.  GREAT insert.
