| Baby Christians, and Prodigals |

I have joined a Bible Study group which meets every Wednesday. At 53 years of age, I am the youngest one there. I was hoping to learn from the elderly ladies, but it seems that only a couple of them have much Bible knowledge. What a disappointment! Yet, now I see that "baby Christian" doesn't always mean YOUNG in age. Baby Christians come in all ages.
There are 10 of us who go to this Bible Study. It is in a rural area, for us rural gals. We have to memorize a verse for each week, but, only two of us do it (me, being one). How I pray that each of these ladies will take this study seriously, and add something to it, as well as take something away.
I was blessed to go have lunch with my son and a couple of his superiors from his job, last weekend. I was impressed when my son led us in Grace right there at Pizza Hut. I can see where being with Christian men has really had a positive impact on him. My son spent seven years in prison, and is only 30 years old now. He wasted a lot of years that should have been years given to the Lord. But, aren't we all that way? Wasting what should belong to the Father? Yet, when we give it all up, and let HIM have His way with us, then we become who we were truly meant to be, and it can never be anything less than wonderful.
Thank you, Jesus! You have kept your promises to this mother's heart!
So, for those of you who have a "prodigal", do not lose hope. It may take years and years, but God is faithful. Trust Him to do what He sees fit. He won't always do it when WE want Him to, but when He knows the timing is right. He knows our prodigal better than we do. |
