I have seen many post about how this site has been a blessing to many, but I have never taken the time to type one up myself. Well here it is! I just wanted to say thank you all and to let you know what a tremendous blessing you have been in my life. Be sure to click around on the links (the words written in blue). You might just find a link that leads to your page or something you wrote! If you are not on this page, please know that you are loved and that it is only because I certainly couldn't type up a post with links to all 72,435 MyChurch members :)
I first heard about this site from Pastor Mark of Calvary Community Church. He made an announcement to encourage the congregation to join a social networking site called "MyChurch." I love working on the computer and fellowship, so it sounded like something that was right up my alley. So I came home that afternoon and signed up. When I first came on it said that Sue had "0" friends and "no" home church. So I took the time to make my very first suggestion to the site about re-phrasing this welcome mat :) The very next time I logged on the change had been made. I just couldn't believe the quick responsiveness of the Admins to a suggestion from "little ole me." I was very impressed from the word go.
I began to beef up my profile page and to add some posts to my blog. I was overwhelmed by the acceptance and warm welcome. You all have been a tremendous blessing in my life. I have met so many wonderful children of God on here and have gotten to know the folks from my home church better. It has been very interesting finding out that people in my local church have teaching gifts that I didn't even know they had. And to constantly share laughs with some of the funniest people I know.
I never dreamed there would be such a place! I had heard of MySpace and let's just say I had heard enough :)
So I just wanted to take this time to tell you all just what a blessing you have been. If laughing does add years to your life, I will certainly live longer now that I have discovered MyChurch! I see your hearts for Jesus and it warms the soul. You have made me laugh, you have made me cry. You have been a constant source of encouragement. When I needed help, you were there. When I had 5,862 questions, you were there. When I found a bug, you were there to swat it :) When we got busy, you said, "How can I help?" When my suggestions kept coming, you were there.
What a privilege it is to be a part of a community where we can witness healing and see people have their needs met. And to see the hearts some of these teens have for the Lord is just so awesome! What a joy to get to know so many folks on this site! I just couldn't imagine my life without MyChurch! You all are the bomb!
You have responded just like a family should, with love and compassion. We may not always agree, but sometimes we do, and I have learned from your wisdom either way. And let's face it, we have had some great discussions along the way! Your writings are always amazing! And the songs you have written, wow! And yes, we can even get on each others nerves from time to time. (Don't worry, I won't add a link to that comment :) We have been more than friends, we are family. |

It's because of people like you Sue and all the others that have a heart for community, a heart for Jesus Christ, that makes MyChurch a place where Christians from all walks of life can come together. There are other social networks out there, but none comes close to MyChurch. I'm so happy it found me.

This will probably be the never completely edited post :) I keep thinking of new things to say. It got to the point where it took so long to get together, that I just had to go ahead and post it. There are so many wonderful things to say, about so many wonderful people. How could one possibly get all of that into one post?

Simply an awesome compilation of what MyChurch dot org is really about. But even with this blog, only a few of the sewers (sowers) and threads have been mentioned. As I write this, there are 72,635 sewers and 48,117 threads (72,635 members | 48,117 blogs) and countless behind-the-scenes conversations of support, encouragement and everything else mixed in.
Have I mentioned this is awesome?

| I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!!!!!!! I've been on some other Christian websites where the mood was put-down and attack, criticism and verbal abuse. This site is so UPLIFTING and I pray that it stays that way. |

Sue - I just got a chance to read your blog since the last couple weeks have been so crazy. Here I am clicking & reading all the blue links to "meet" others who are impacting lives on MyChurch & I was humbled & shocked to be included in one of your links. Thank you. Although I don't write many blogs of my own I truly enjoy reading yours & many others when I can carve out the time.
You & as you have so aptly stated, so many others, have truly touched my life as well. What a tool Christ has given us, through the talents He has gifted the MyChurch developers with & the family of Saint's who have joined to "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
