Our pastor is an admitted "twirler" when he worships God in private.  We have very lively worship times with God during our services, but the pastor says he hasn't been able to dance on the outside yet, although he is dancing on the inside.  I'm where he's at.  I'll do it in private, but not in public...yet.  I blogged about this earlier in the year, about how worthy God is to dance for and how we are told to dance for joy before Him.  Definitely out of a lot of people's comfort zones, myself included.

Glad to hear that you were able to dance and that God used you, sister!  :-)

I never thought you where to big, to tall or not anointed to dance. When I first saw you dance in Japan I was blessed. I encourage you to continue to dance, your ministry in dance is awesome! and you are ANOINTED TO DANCE..  Thank God for your breakthrough. Your Mother-in-Law, loves you girl!!!!

I still occasionally dance with my children with reckless abandon! We used to do it all the time, but now I'm older and less "fit", and the kids are a little less interested in dancing with dad. But today I resolve to squeeze in a dance with them! :-)

I know that isn't technically what the blog is about, but in a way it is too. God bless! ~mike

Mike n Laura-Thanks for sharing.  My kids thinks that no parent can dance or was ever cool!!!
Jen-I pray that your Pastor just boldly steps out and begin to dance like David danced, BUT hopefully he'll keep his clothes on!  LOL

Isha, that's because your kids are either too old now or too big for their britches, hahaha! (sorry)

Both, but I love to remind them that they will get "old" and have children just like them!!!!  LOL

This is awesome!  Thanks Isha!  I lead worship.  I've never heard an honest worshipper who wasn't annointed - whether they were singing on key or not!  I think you've been able to show your heart in dancing - maybe for the first time.  I'm glad you persevered =D

God Bless You and Your Happy Feet!

Praise the Lord,

I rejoice with you!  The feeling that nothing can stop you from showing your love to Him is amazing!

You all don't know, but I have been on cloud 9.  I am just so blessed that God would use me in that way although I didn't even believe in myself for dance.  I minister to a lot of folks with boldness and power, but this was a closed area that I never would go back to re-examine.  It has been several years since I even attepted to dance.  I feel like something new and healthy is alive within me.

When the spirit of the Lord falls upon my heart,  I will dance like David danced.......

Go Girl.... do your dance unto the Lord.

Praise the Lord Prophet!  God definitely ministered through you, and to you yesterday.  The glory of the Lord was definitely upon you, and the glory followed you after services.  It was definitely a blessing for me!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing. I love to dance before the Lord, as does my husband but we both have been held back recently with balance problems. I'm believing that is only temporary. Dancing as part of worship is liberating and joyous to us and precious to the Lord. David did it! (And was ridiculed by his wife.)

I pray that your balance returns so that you all can bless the Lord and His people.

Thank you, Isha. I always covet the prayers of someone who has broken through in an area where I am still captive.

JessIam-what type of praise music do you sing or recommend?

Can someone tell me how to post this on another site?

Wow!  Thanks for asking me.  That's quite a complement.

I'll let you know the type of praise music I sing.  For recommendation, I'll give you a question: does the music your listening too get you closer to God?  That's the only criteria I'd suggest.

I sing folk music mostly, but I can do rock and blues.

I love any type of worship music.  We listen to gospel, gospel rap, country, Hillsong, etc.  I just like to get input from other praise and worship leaders.
