| Have Some Lemonade It's Sweetened With Joy! |
|
| |
8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
I'm laughing at myself as I type because if ever there was an example for me to pay attention it is now. Oh how I love God and Oh how awesome He is. Truly God knows all and He who is ahead of time, always looks out for his own, He always looks out for me. This has been one of those weeks, a heavy week of burdens, prayer requests, things that need to be attended to and feeling like I don't have enough hands to get it all done. It's now going on week three and my friend is still missing without a trace (I thank each of you for your prayers for her and her family). Both Pastor Ken and I have been challenged health wise, due to stress, lack of rest and being overworked. (Please keep us in your prayers). Then there are you all here on MyChurch, our new extended family. What a joy you have been to us. (and I still hate to write!) What a pleasure to read, response and rejoice with you through your blogs. God knew we needed you all, that's why He had MyChurch find us! All Glory be to God! But it's times like this when I find myself weak, when I am faced with my own humanity which confirms how much I need a Savior. It's not easy to keep self out of the way, when you constantly see your name slandered across various blogs, it's not easy to keep the old self from rising up, not easy to keep that gal from Brooklyn, the Hood, girl from the projects to stay dead…. I Am A New Creature In Christ is what I have to yell out at times like this. Yet, the Holy Spirit told me to pay attention! To what? To my own telecast! Duh! Titled" His Joy, Our Strength! http://www.mychurch.org/blog/56045/Welcome-To-Our-Daily-E-Telecast The Holy Spirit said, "take those lemons and made some lemonade girl!" How about that! Therefore, I am saying thank you to all my haters, thank you for the free PR! I couldn't figure out why all of a sudden my friend requests was growing at such an accelerated rate, and now I know, I'm getting free publicity. What is done for evil, God is turning it into good. So thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. Yes, I am a Pastor, it is my gift from God, and who would turn down any gift from the Lord? So I've just made some lemonade sweetened with joy, ya'll want some? Pastor Aminata |

Pastor Aminata, First, thanks for another great post! Very encouraging! And I see Hitchcock has made yet another appearance. :-)
Haters? Can't be many of them, in fact I'd be surprised at even one. Your messages are biblical and encouraging, very valuable to the community! God bless you, and thanks for the lemonade! ~mike |

| God IS good! ALL the time! It is so nice to know that just when we feel that Satan is getting a leg up he gets knocked back down :O). We should never forget where we came from and always use our past hurts to remind us to be kind to others. When the devil tries to get in the way of our work for the Lord it only means we should work harder and keep Him uppermost in our thoughts. If we are thinking about God there is no space for the devil. The haters are sent by Satan to try and break us down bu,t Glory to God, we can use them to futher His goals. Get behind me Satan, for God is my leader. Follow if you will. The truth is Satan will always be where God's people are but we have the choice to ignore him and cast him away or to let him get to us stealing our time for thoughts of God with thoughts of him. We should not spend one moment thinking of Satan unless it is thoughts of how to defeat him with the armor of the Lord. Be strong my Sister. God's got your back. |

Pastor Ami~ Beautiful Pastor Ami~ I understand how you feel. I too have been in the kettle pot. I have learned thus far to avoid all negative comments and ppl. ( Atleast I am working towards that.) I feel a bit soured lately too. But the joy of the Lord is that sweetness to add to those sour faces. So, let it roll off your hands. Kick the dust from your feet, and move on. I am being trained how to commute with ppl of different beliefs because of MyChurch. Satan will always be about trying to decieve the elect. I think thats the part that bothers me the most! So, I turn to the Lord and ask HIM to help me with these cruel decieved ppl. God loves everyone..but does he like everyone? Two different things. Big hugs for Pastor Ami! BIG HUGS! Be encouraged that you are reaching more good soil than bad.
Lots of love, Shannon |

You know Pastor the prayers of the righteous availeth much, I just want to agree with you through Prayer. Father, I come to You In Jesus' Name, I ask you to strengthen Pastor Aminata and family with Your Spirit in their inner man, for it is not by might, nor by power but by Your Spirit that we live , breathe and have our beings. I ask you to cover the Pastor and the family with the blood of Jesus, and put a hedge of protection around them from any attacks the enemy has set. I pray that no weapon formed against them will prosper and every tongue that rise up against them in judgement shall be condemned. Allow them the strength to stand through all of their situations and see your deliverance. Father I ask you to send special angels to war on there behalf and deliver them form the persecutors. Thanks be to you, Our God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
Pastor be encourage! |

I was a like an old fence post, search for scripture to surround like Armor. Then to double it, I did this to my profile:
Note from Sister Joey: Do not mess with Children of God |

Sometimes we have to let people walk on us before we can wash feet.
A booklet by A.W. Tozer called Five Vows for Spiritual Power has greatly influenced my life.
The vows.....
1. Deal thouroughly with sin.....
S eparation (from GOD and others)
I nterruption (of the flow of the Spirit)
N egation (of your witness, peace, and the promises)
2. Never accept any glory (for what GOD is doing in and thru you.....apart from Him I can do nothing).
3. Never defend yourself (let your Father).
4. Never pass anything on about someone that would hurt them (bury at the foot of the Cross.....he that seeketh love covereth a transgression).
5. Never "own" anything (includes things like self-pity, bitterness, hurt, reputation).
When I began to work these into my liffe I had no idea how carnal I really was. Or what great peace would come from living them.
.....peace..... |

|

Let us all go ahead and get a big lake of clean freash water , and go over to Pastor A. house and make a Bigggggggg, thing of Sweet lemonade! Lol! i am with you Sister, God is Good and doing great things here on this site, and it does not matter what others may think If we, If some would Cheek there fire power we can all get a glass of lemonade, and sit at the masters feet and eat the bread from heaven together. |
|
|
Most of us would not even think of eating a couple of raw eggs, or several cups of a milk and flour mix, or flavoring out of the little bottle (trust me on this one it don't taste nothing like it smells). But put that and a few other ingredients together and some time in an oven and you have yourself a cake.
But isn't that what we do spiritually when we isolate a problem and focus on it and neglect to trust GOD to work it all out?
O taste and see that the Lord is good (if you don't keep messin with His "cooking").
Can you smell what the Rock is cooking? LOL I just had to do that. :)
.....peace..... |

| All is well. If you didn't have the haters, we would have no lemons, and if we had no lemons, none of us would be having this refreshing glass of lemonade. Haters are like trials...they come to make you strong. Thanks for the drink! |

Really and truly, all is well. Like the song, It is well, with my soul. My Grandma always told me that two wrongs don't make it right. I've never forgotten that and still teach that to my daughters and even whisper it to my little grandson, Jack. He's only 9 months old. I think he listens.
We are called to love our neighbor and to pray for our enemies. I feel better when I do that.
Lemonaide. hmmmm. I throw in a big old porch with chairs and swings and lots of sugar cookies and we can munch away. |

Hugs and prayers to you and your friend and her family. Yes it is very hard indeed to keep that "old man" from rising up, hard not to let the flesh take over when you feel you have been wronged, but oh...the rewards over there when we don't give in to temptation. Blessings to you and thank you for your blogs and your telecast, I don't always get to sit down and watch them through but I enjoy them when I do. |

Whenever you are on the front lines, you get shot at. But praise God, you are on the front lines doing God's work, and through your prayers and the prayers of God's people, you are provided with a bullet proof vest.
Oh ya, I better go get some more lemonade!
God bless you,
Pastor Tim

I take your lemonade sweetened with joy, with plenty of joy myself, I am glad to have you as my siblings in JESUS CHRIST. GOD bless you!
I have to admit I don't like to write either, but GOD is making the task at hand a joy.
Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Yeah, and the joy of the Lord that you have is my strength too. You have enough for the both of us. Just kidding. I know I must make my own lemonade but if you had two straws, I know you'd share yours. Dearest Aminata...who would have the nerve to slog you in their blog? I can think of a slough of despair...a bog of primeval slime I'd like to deposit them in. Well, they'd do the same to Jesus, I'd bet. You've done more good with your "preaching" than Jael did with her nail. You have a way of hitting issues and the subject in question smack dab on the head. Move over Priscilla and Aquilla...make room for Pastor Ken and Aminata. They have a church in their website and it is red hot and on fire for Jesus...and I belong! You can't know how happy that makes me. The invisible church....made visible on the internet. <:))))>< Connie Radomski |

Denise - I agree the rewards are so good when we don't give in to temptation. God bless you and thank you for watching the telecast. Pastor Tim - I love it, a bullet proof vest designed by the Holy Spirit.. come on, take your best shot! Praise Him! Grant - We just have to recognize a blessing in desguise! Regardless each of us have a job to do for the Lord, you pray for me, and I'll pray for you. Della - somebody understands why I hate to write, God bless you sister. Connie - You are too much! I just love your spirit. I am so glad that our paths have crossed, I admire your steadfast committment to the Lord.
Be blessed everyone.

| It is hard and hurtful when people who do not agree with you cannot do so in love and unity, especially when they are of the faith. I pray for your strength, healing, and encouragement. I know you have been a tremendous encouragement to me! God bless you, your husband, and your ministry, my sister. Continue to press toward the mark. You are making a difference for the Kingdom. |

Hi, I just joined MyChurch--yours is the first blog I read. I am so encouraged by what you said about what was meant for evil, God turns around for good. And I love the book of Nehemiah. God encouraged me today from Ephesians 5(oh, I forget the verse), but it says to give thanks in all things and also to sing psalms to one another, hymns, and make melody in our hearts to the Lord. God bless, and have a happy Thanksgiving. |

Whenever God calls someone to the front as He has you and your ministry, you have been set apart from the rest. Not only do you know this but so does satan and he will attack at every chance he gets. It's not that he needs to reach you because you are already a child of God but he does intend to do is to keep you from reaching those that God is placing in your path!!!! If he can keep just one ear from HEARING the message God is trying to give them through you or if he can keep them from SEEING your testamony through your life and your actions, then he rejoices in the fact that he, too, has used you. Always remember that God says in His word,
8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us? What better promise could he ever give us!?!? There's another promise that he gives us in Isaiah 45:2...
45:2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: God is no respector of persons by His own words! If He said He would go before them in the days in which this was written, then that still stands today for you and I! Stand firm on His promises and never forget that you already have the victory!
Love in Christ Jesus, Trish Maddox

Pastor Aminata LOVE U
I take my Lelemonade with a twist of LIME Thank You very much
FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT
John Samuel Bewley Monsell (1811–1875) TOO MANY OF US are spiritually flabby, often avoiding spiritual conflict instead of facing it. That was certainly not the apostle Paul’s style, nor was it John Monsell’s. Monsell was a gifted Anglican clergyman who could hold his congregation spellbound as he spoke and who advocated “more fervent and joyous” singing in his church. He once said, “We sing, but not as we should, to Him who is the chief among ten thousand, the altogether lovely.” This hymn was written to accompany the reading of Ephesians 4:17-32, where Paul outlines the nature of new life in Christ. But Monsell’s hymn has allusions to many other passages of Scripture as well. Stanza 1 refers to 1 Timothy 6:12 and Philippians 4:1; stanza 2 to Hebrews 12:1, John 14:6, and Philippians 3:14; stanza 3 to 1 Peter 5:7; and stanza 4 to Galatians 6:9, Mark 5:36, John 6:29, and Colossians 3:11.
FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT Fight the good fight with all thy might! Christ is thy strength, and Christ thy right. Lay hold on life, and it shall be Thy joy and crown eternally. Run the straight race through God’s good grace; Lift up thine eyes, and seek His face. Life with its way before us lies; Christ is the path, and Christ the prize. Cast care aside, lean on thy Guide; His boundless mercy will provide. Trust, and thy trusting soul shall prove Christ is its life, and Christ its love. Faint not nor fear, His arms are near; He changeth not, and thou art dear. Only believe, and thou shalt see That Christ is all in all to thee. |
