Well, this morning, that's what I did. There's been some issues that I've been having trouble coming to terms with... things that will mean a lot of change for the household, and I'm not too keen about it. So first thing today, I sat myself down and gave myself a good talk..... ..... "Settle yourself down!.... trust in the Lord!.... He has it all in hand! Don't be anxious, but pray about it and be thankful. God knows what He is doing....... .... and HE CAN DO IT!!!! You don't need to help Him do His job!!!" So that was my talk to me, to start the day!! Still the same lesson as I've been talking about on my previous blogs...
3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. This reminds me of what David said. He talked to himself too... "Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God." (Psalm 43:5, NKJ)
And another time he said: "Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s." (Psalm 103:1-5, NKJ)
So hey, it's okay to talk to yourself!! We might be the only one we listen too. :-) And, if you want to answer yourself back that's okay! Just don't do it in company... you might get some strange looks!! :-) Have a great day!! Bless ya, HEAPS!!!! |
