I suspect this varies.  right now
8:15 For ye received not the spirit of bondage again unto fear; but ye received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 8:16 The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God:

Are on my heart a lot.  I'm way to indecisive to be able to pin down a favorite scripture.

1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

This is my all time favorite scripture.  God knew who He made when He made me, and He knew that I was full of questions.   So He provided a source for me to try and fill my insatiable appetite of "whys, hows, whos, when and so forth.  I can just hear Him saying, "here comes that child with another question."

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.
I have this as my screen saver...

3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I believe that is the most important and my favorite verse.  I have many, but that's at the top.

22:17 The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let him who hears say, "Come." And let him who is thirsty come, let him who desires take the water of life without price.

On my long journey back into the fold, I was challenged to read the Bible.  I did so, from cover to cover.  By the time I had reached this part, the Spirit was reaching me.  Then I read on a few more passages:
22:20 He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

THAT is a prayer of grace.  I had returned.

So, to me, there may be many beautiful verses, learned verses and instructional verses; but, this is the special one because of what it meant at that time in my life and how it turned it around.

28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

This scripture just speaks to me!

my favourite passage is the following, because if we practise this in our lives, the whole world will be a paradise and heaven on earth.

Luk 6:27 But I say unto you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you,

Luk 6:28 bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.

18:27 But he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

Hey, Joey!  Mine is Matt 6:34...Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will take care of itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Mark Twain once said something along the lines of how he spent most of his life he spent worrying about things that never happened.  I think all of us do that to an extent.  I claim this as my life verse, because worrying about it never gets me anywhere but down when I should be looking up.

Awesome blog! Mine is Deut 6:5 "Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." This always makes it clear to me what my relationship to God should be. He is first and he is all!

The verse for our school:  Proverbs 17:22   A merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
My personal favorite:  Psalm 37:4  Delight thyself in the LORD and He will give thee the desires and secret petitions of thine heart.
My prophetic verses:  Isaiah 49:20-23  The children which thou shalt have, after thou has lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place [is] too strait for me:  give place to me that I may dwell.  Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro?  and who hath brought up these?  Behold, I was left alone; these, where [had]they [been]?  Thus saith the LORD GOD, Behold, I will lift up Mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up My Standard to the people:  and they shall bring thy sons in [their] arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon [their] shoulders.  And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers:  they shall bow down to thee with [their]face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD:  for they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me.

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."  Hebrews 11:1

I may not always understand the purpose of my life, at least in this life, but I am certain of my faith along my journey.

I can't say that I have one favorite scripture, but am grateful that God speaks to me in ways I can hear.  There are many excerpts that really speak to me in times I need.

Psalms 34:18 has played an important role in my life.  "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."  How powerful it is to know the truth.. that when we feel the most alone and shattered, we are truly held together by God's love for us.
